However, we must respectfully clarify the facts of this project for the benefit of future customers: • Your initial $2,000 down payment was applied directly to demolition of a 1,500 sq. ft. driveway, which alone cost $1,900. • At your request, upgraded highway mesh was purchased and installed instead of the standard wire mesh in the contract. This material cost $90 each, totaling 1,676 sq. ft.—a significant upgrade in both quality and expense. Additional materials, including lumber, bending boards, and metal joints, brought material costs to approximately $1,500, not including nails and fuel. • The slab formed on your property measured up to 1,700 sq. ft., which is substantially larger than the original contract scope. Despite this increase, you only offered $300 more for the added work and requested that funds reserved for required dirt be reallocated. • In total, your $4,000 payment covered premium materials, demolition of 1,500 sq. ft., and forming of up to 1,700 sq. ft. of slab—work that exceeded the original contract agreement. All of these details are documented in the signed contract and records on file. We pride ourselves on honesty, quality, and transparency. While we cannot meet every additional request outside of contract without proper adjustment, we always aim to deliver professional work. For this reason, no refund was warranted, as all funds were applied directly to labor and materials completed on your behalf.
