Shaker style has been trending for a decade or more and it's what I do the most of when I reface. Refacing takes a little longer than refinishing and I do more refinishing than refacing. You can use any colors you choose. Most refinishing takes me a couple of days in the kitchen and I recommend Sherwin Williams Emerald Urethane. Kitchen cabinets are always satin sheen. I don't do anything like countertops or backsplash. I specialize in kitchen cabinets. I often have to make minor changes and repairs to the kitchen cabinets when I refinish or reface them.
