"I cannot give enough compliments about Dave and Gary. This is the 2nd house of mine Dave has refinished. The first house was a whole house refinish, including stairs (3,000 sq ft). He also had to replace and repair several areas of patched flooring (which we discovered after removing carpet) and matched it perfectly. After seeing the workmanship on my first house, my sister and friend had him refinish their entire homes and were very pleased. On my second house, they refinished a sunroom, stairs, and matched a stain to the original flooring (which was spot on. We seriously cannot see where the old finish meets the new!!) As far as price and quality, they simply cannot be beat. I can't say that Dave returns calls because I've NEVER had to leave a message--he answers the phone every time I call! Gary was our refinisher and has kept us informed and in the loop about what he was doing and the time frame EVERY SINGLE DAY. He is extremely conscientious and respectful of our home, pets, and children. He shows up on time (to the minute) AND locks the door on his way out. Seriously, I'm just blown away. It really doesn't get better than this. I am in the midst of bathroom remodeling as well and I only wish the contractors were 1/10th as good as Rawlings!"

"Carlos Garcia's Hometown Floor Covering. LLC laid 755 sq ft of 3/4" solid wood floor in my house in Oct 2022. It has buckled at the walls, and throughout the house the planks are uneven and raised. I have attempted to connect Carlos by phone, email and on Facebook, but he has blocked me. I had 2 floor installers over to make repairs, and both told me the whole floor needs to be replaced. The flooring supplier who assigned Carlos Garcia to me no longer use him. As my discussion with them, they told Carlos he was to stay at the job site, and he didn't. It was obvious his men were untrained, and they couldn't speak English. I had to buy 3 more boxes of flooring because of improper cutting. When I wrote his check he wanted it in his personal name. Carlos Garcia has bad business practices. On his business web page, he "guarantees his work" and he implies he's not a 'shady contractor'! I warned Carlos Garcia, Hometown Floor Covering, LLC months I would send out bad reviews. "

"We had a wonderful experience with Carlos and the Hometown Team. My husband and I were moving from out of state and nervous to hire someone to install our floors when we could not be there to oversee the progress. Carlos put us totally at ease. His communication was awesome. All phone calls were returned promptly and he was patient and thorough when answering my many questions. He was able to source the flooring we wanted and got it delivered quickly. They started install on the day that was promised and stayed late after finding the floors needed to be leveled. When he found an issue with some damaged floorboards, he sent pictures immediately and explained what needed to be done. He sent pictures and was in touch at every step. Did I mention the flooring? It’s beautiful and exactly what we wanted. I have not seen one flaw in the workmanship. When I inquired about how to protect the floors for the upcoming movers, he was kind enough to make an extra stop to bring us paper & plastic to cover our floors and steps. Working with Carlos was a wonderful experience!"
