"This guy was great. I had several trees about 40 or 50 feet tall that fell across the back of our house smashing our deck. He removed all the trees and the vines entangled with them at a very reasonable price and pretty much by himself. He really got the trees cut up and hauled away in a timely manner. I was concerned about possibly being too big a project for one person but he did a great job. I was thoroughly impressed with the job he did. I would recommend him for any tree project you might have. Here’s a before picture all of this is gone."

"It could not have gone better! Tony and his crew arrived basically when they told us they would. They had all the necessary equipment with them (strictly professional grade) and the crew of two started to work right away. The tree was about 30 feet tall, in our front yard and fairly close to the house so we were concerned about damage so we watched the whole process. Our neighbors have had 4-5 trees removed in the past couple of years and, after seeing that work, we knew not to use any of those contractors -and we knew what to watch out for.
This crew was A-1 professional all the way. Some of the limbs were removed after they climbed in the tree and the rest (the ones near the house and a valuable holly tree) were taken down using the large and quot;cherry-pickerand quot; on the big truck. We were very impressed with the whole process.
They also ground-out the stump and the roots and their big machine made fast work of it. They even and quot;dugand quot; a hole for us where we will have an replacement tree installed soon. Most amazing of all, these fellas were able to grind up ALL of the tree except for a few very large pieces from the trunk. Amazing machine! As a result, there was little mess and they cleaned everything up very thoroughly before they left. Tony came by to inspect the work and he and his crew helped us spread topsoil and grass seed over the spot where the ash tree stood. This was a plesant surprise -and much appreciated!
They did a very professional job and we will call them first if we ever need tree service again.

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Absolutely. These steps are significantly easier, too, especially when it comes to preserving the root ball and moving the palm tree. However, you will want to make sure the tree has plenty of fertilizer to establish itself and start growing. Supports may also be more important, as it can take extra time for a potted palm to spread out its roots. If you are transferring a palm to another pot, you’ll want to move up a size or two to a larger pot. Make sure the pot has excellent drainage to keep the palm from getting waterlogged.

If executed correctly your tree should survive after being transplanted to a new spot. However, effective transplanting requires six months, careful root pruning, safe transport to the new location, and replanting in prime soil conditions. You’ll also need an appropriately sized root ball for a complete tree transplant. A good rule of thumb is that, for every inch in diameter, your tree’s root ball needs to be around 11 inches. So a tree with a diameter of six inches needs a root ball of approximately 66 inches.

If you ever want to see the literal fruits of your labor, you’ll need to prune your peach trees. Without pruning, the trees may not grow or bear fruit since the nutrients will be divided among too many offshoots to provide any with enough energy to produce the peaches. Plus, if parts of the peach tree become diseased or pest-ridden, pruning can nip those problems in the bud.

It can be bad to leave a dead stump in the ground. A stump becomes a hefty piece of dead wood in time and eventually (especially with the help of rain) starts to rot. That makes it a locus point for diseases and pesky insects, as well as a bit of an eyesore. It’s best to remove a tree stump completely before it starts to decay, especially before it starts to fall apart. If the tree was removed because of disease, it’s even more important to fully remove the stump if possible.

Pruning trees during the summer can be a bad idea because the new growth will take place during the hottest months of the year, which can stress your tree out. Similarly, pruning during the early fall can be a bad idea, too, because you’d be stimulating new growth when most trees are aiming to go dormant.

Pruning recommendations will vary by the type of tree, but generally, waiting until winter to prune your trees is a good idea.
