"The job was completed on schedule, with some long nights put in. My wife has hardly left the porch since they screened it in. Customer service was without compare. A more energetic team would be hard to come by."

"Emma has taken care of multiple drywall repairs and cosmetic touch ups in my home. One from removing a tv mount from my wall, another from anchors leaving holes in my bedroom wall. She did a fabulous job repairing the drywall, and the paint touch ups were seamless! She walked me through the process of the work she would be doing, gave me an estimated time frame of when it would be completed, with a turnaround time that was appreciated. If youâ re looking for a reputable company who provides a quality service and are like me, who requires quite a bit of communication for projects, I recommend both Emma and Chris for any of your repair needs or if your home/business just needs a face lift! â ï¸"

Drywall questions, answered by experts

If you want to reduce sound transmission throughout your home, soundproofing drywall is a better choice than standard drywall. However, simply installing soundproofing drywall may not completely block out noise. You’ll get the best results from incorporating it into a larger soundproofing plan that includes proper insulation and framing studs.

It’s always better to follow proven drywall repair tips and fix the seams that look bad. However, if you simply want to make them less noticeable until you have time to fix them, you can use paint. A darker color of paint makes bad drywall tape seams less noticeable than light-colored paint. Matte paint hides bad seams better than glossy paint does, too.

When used correctly, drywall patch kits can work well. However, there are limitations. Specifically, these kits can only cover holes up to 5 inches in diameter. For anything larger than that, you’ll need to cut out the affected section of drywall and replace it with a new piece. That’s a far more complicated process that involves buying the right type of drywall, finding the wall studs, cutting into your wall, and screwing the replacement drywall in place.

In some minor cases, you can DIY drywall repair with minimal time and money spent. This method is best when you have a hole made by a singular problem, such as accidental furniture moving, and not a continuous problem, like a rodent infestation.

Knowing what product to use is crucial. For example, small holes only need spackle, whereas large holes might need a new piece of drywall. You can flex your DIY abilities on this project, but if you’d like a second opinion or have a more significant problem, it’s best to call in a drywall repair pro.

If the holes in the plaster are small, you can fill them with layers of patching plaster until they’re filled. After it dries, you can sand the plaster and paint over it. If the hole is much larger, consider using bonding plaster first and then a layer of patching plaster, completing the process with sanding and a layer of paint.
