"I reached out to TW Drywall to finish a closet/ pantry, which was a small job but that didn’t matter to Tony. TW Drywall did an excellent job. They were prompt, professional and cleaned up any mess that comes with this type of work. TW Drywall is the real deal and recommend them for your next drywall project. Thank you Tony and Dee!"

Small jobs welcome

"Was quick to quote and bid the job; Richard started right within our ideal time window and kept to the schedule. Our basement was ready to prime/paint in just over a weeks time. I would highly recommend looking into using Well Hung Drywall; I had a great experience and they would be my first call if I needed services in the future."

"I put in a request for an estimate and friends drywall contacted me right away to schedule a time to come and check out the job. They were able to get to my house the next day. They showed up on time and give me an estimate. They were able to come over just a few days later to complete the job. They showed up on time, were professional, cleaned up after themselves, and I paid for the work after it was completed. They did an amazing job on my drywall. It looks perfect! I will definitely use them again and would recommend this company to anyone."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

You do not need to drywall over most types of garage insulation. However, doing so can increase noise reduction, make the space more attractive, and keep children and pets from touching harmful fiberglass insulation. If you’re using cellulose or some other type of blown-in insulation (fiberglass and mineral wool are common), you will need drywall to contain the insulation material.

If you’re looking for a reliable plaster repair company, you should start by researching local companies in your area and reviewing their status with the Better Business Bureau. Next, you can contact the potential companies to ask about experience levels, get a list of references, and ask for examples of past work. If you have a textured wall, consider asking if they have examples or references for that particular texture. This method should help you narrow your search even further. You may also want to ask each company if they provide a warranty for their work.

Yes, drywall can hold a 50-pound TV. However, when mounting a TV, you’ll either need to attach it to wall studs or use drywall anchors. If you use anchors, make sure to buy a type that can hold at least 50 pounds. Molly bolts, threaded anchors, and toggle bolts are all good options. For extra support, you can also install a wall mounting plate with the anchors.

You should leave a gap between drywall sheets because they naturally expand and contract along with the building framing as temperature and humidity change. Most pro drywall installers leave a gap of about ⅛ inch between drywall sheets, allowing the sheets to expand, contract, and shift without cracking or becoming damaged. If you don’t leave enough gaps between slabs, the edges will press against each other when they expand, and the pressure can cause visible cracks.

Choose a drill bit that is the size of the screws of the anchors you will use. You aren’t drilling through metal or concrete—hopefully—so any standard twist, wooden or all-purpose drill bit will work fine. It’s also important to have a screwdriver capable of drilling through the drywall and into the stud. The good news is most available drills, even the older ones, can do this with no issue.
