They measured our existing kitchen and sent us a picture of what everything would look like. I compared it with my drawing that I had created and noticed that Jon had his figures off by 10 feet. I contacted Jon, who came back out and remesured and then sent us an updated picture. From here everything was pretty straightforward, they tore out our Kitchen, ripped up the floor to the sub floor, and started digging for the new addition. After the shell of the new addition was done, Jon called us at 8 AM on a monday to tell us that his electrician would be here at 10 to run power for our new dining room (that we didn't have speced out yet). I had to take off work and figure out where all of the lights would go, or the whole thing would be post poned for weeks. Little things like this happened numerous times which cost me money, but this was a preview of the worst to come.
Once everything was done with the new addition, our floor has a 2 inch slope from north to south, Many of the nails they used for the drywall pulled back out (and I had to repair it myself) and the south wall had pulled away from the support beams. (The wall would flex to the touch). I contacted Ricky and and asked why he used nails instead screws and he said that it was fine as long as there was a second nail within an inch of the first one. I went home and used a magnet and found that there was a nail about every 24 inches or so. I went back to Ricky and he said and quot;Oh we must have used Glue alsoand quot;. I waited almost a year for them to come back and fix the wall, and eventually had to do it myself. (They finally came back and skimcoated the wall and repainted it for us, but now it looks like a washerboard and we had to purchase the paint). I also had to repaint our ceiling twice, and then it developed a crack so he put about 10 screws in it, and repainted it as well, but we had to buy the paint again.
Our Kitchen was a nightmare as well, we got all new appliances, countertops, and cabinetry, which they really messed up installing. Our Kitchen floor had a bit of a sag in it, and we contracted Ricky and Jon to go under the house and level it before our new kitchen was installed. We never heard anything about it, and they started installing the Kitchen. They cut a huge hole in the corner of our wall to install a corner cabinet, after the cabinet was installed they left the hole at the top and tell us about it. Later that week, my wife discovered the hole and we asked Jon Wilson if they were going to fix it, he replied and quot;My arm isn't long enoughand quot; and he went about his business. Weeks later I talked to Ricky Wilson and finally someone I guess Jon's arm grew because they came out and put a piece of wood over the hole and glued it.
Our Refrigerator is another great story, Jon built the enclosure for it to be placed and when our countertops were installed they pushed the walls and made an hourglass hole instead of a rectangle. When our Refrigerator arrived, the hole was too small, so Jon had his men shave off some of the wood to make the enclosure more even. They lined it up and gave it a push. It was a VERY tight squeeze but they got it in, not noticing that there was a piece of a nail sticking out of the side where they had shaved the wood. It ripped a huge gap in the side of the Refrigerator. Ricky pulled it back out, looked at the gap, and puhed it right back into the enclousure. The place we bought the refrigerator kept having delivery problems and it took 4 times for them to get us our Refrigertor without it being damaged, they had to take it apart piece by piece and then reassemble it actually IN the enclosure to keep from it getting damaged. Once this was done, Jon came out the next day to do some work on the cabinets and ended up denting the front of it. He claims it was like that already.
Our Dish Washer is another Ricky Wilson disaster, they placed the diswasher in it's enclosure and told us everything was hooked up and ready, when my wife and I tried to wash our dishes, nothing happened.. We almost burned everything up because they had forgot to hook up the water line. A few months later, my wife is unloading the dishwaher and it just rolls out of it's enclosure. We find out that Ricky Wilson Construction just used glue to install the DishWasher, no screws or anything.. Just Glue..
The Stove is yet another nightmare. Ricky Wilson's crew put our stove in the enclouser and it was about 2 inches above our countertops. They first removed the legs and the stove was still too high, so they cut a hole in our new floor and dropped the stove on to the sub floor. Now the warming tray is un-usable and any water that might come off the stove will go right under our flooring and ruin it (The exact words of the people we bought the flooring from).
Our Dining Room/Kitchen foor is another great story, Jon Wilson said they could install it so we just let him and his crew do it all, once completed we noticed that there were numerous scratches and miscuts where they had messed up AND there was a huge hump in our floor. We pointed out the hump to Ricky and he said that if he had noticed the hump he could have fixed it. This is srange because his people stripped our floor down to the subfloor, AND placed the new floor so how could he not have noticed?
Lastly, they built our screened in porch. The boards are not spaced evenly, the screws are sideways, crooked, etc.. and you can't walk out on it with bare feet because of all the splinters. They attached the double screen door and left it with big 1 inch gaps both above and below. This defeats the purpose of a screened in porch, so they came back and adjusted the springs. They also put screws in the door and split the wood, so they just backed out the screw and placed it a bit lower in the wood. (Leaving the split). They also cut out the wood where the top latch was positioned for the dead door, and left it butted up to the end of the latch so you couldn't even unlock it. When they finally came back out to fix the latch, they also brought out some industrial strenght springs and hooked them up as the dor hinges in an attempt to fix the gap in the door. The first time that they door slammed, it broke off a chunk of wood where the handle latch was located. They just looked at it and called it finished, as they were walking away one of them said we are done, but your probably not going to be happy with this either.
Overall, I would like to say that we did our homework and they came highly recomended, it was a total disaster, Ricky Wilson's crew stole various items from our house (Only a few items were returned) and one of his guys came to our house one sunday morning and brought a wheelbarrel. We saw him as we were leaving for church so we figured that he was getting some of his tools. Turns out he was DIGGING up some of my wifes plants that we had around the house! Their painter used my brushes and rollers even after I told him that they were going to be thrown away because of lint, and I had to totally repaint everything because of lint that he left. I have had to go under my house for some wiring and found out that our new floor in our Dining room floor is placed on a floor joist that is rotted and worn down to about 2 inches of wood left. They also placed a positive feed drain pipe under it which is a foot off the ground, which means that water has to be a foot high before it will drain, which means we now have a foot of water under our house. They also built the Dining room over our water faucet for the garden hose, so now it is under the floor and of no use to us.
We were told that our only course of action is to go through the Home Builders Association (Per the contract they make you sign before they start) but Jon Wilson is the president, Ricky Wilson a past president, and he is also on their board........so"},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ky/madisonville/ricky-wilson-construction-reviews-5323829.htm"},"position":5}]}

"John and his team were excellent from the first conversation to the install. He explained all the options and cost breakdown clearly and worked to ensure we were confident with our decision. He is VERY responsive and his team did an amazing job on the installation. They were timely, courteous and went out of their way to ensure every part of the install was to our expectations. They also cleaned up and ensured our space was spotless before they left. This was an excellent experience and we couldn't be happier with the piece of mind they provided at a great price. If you are considering a storm shelter do yourself a favor and give John a call."

FAQs for french drain service projects in Madisonville, KY
Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.
When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.

The cost to install a drain pipe is $600 on average, but the total can range between $150 and $2,000. Some cost factors that influence your project price include the type of drain, the area’s accessibility, the proximity of existing drain lines, and whether you’re installing a new drain or replacing an old one. Replacing the p-trap or s-trap under a single fixture will usually cost around $150, while replacing a main drain pipe can cost well over $2,000.
Yes, most states require plumbers to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.

We highly recommend leaving the work of replacing drain pipes to a professional plumber. Drain pipes are a key part of your plumbing system, and making mistakes during the installation or even using the wrong size pipes for your specific fixture can lead to an elevated risk of leaks and clogs. Additionally, drain pipes prevent harmful sewer gas from entering your home, so hiring a professional plumber is essential to keeping the risk of leaks and clogs low and avoid reducing your indoor air quality.
