The Stick Built Fence is a lot better quality the posts are 4 x 4's the rails are 2 x 4 not 1.25"x 3.25" the pickets are 5/8"x 5.75"x 6' not 3/8"x 5.25"x 5.5" the panels last approximately 6 months to 2 years. Where as the proper stick built fence will last 6 to 10 years with proper maintenance at the same price or maybe less than the panels. 23 years of very satisfied customers look for my specials We now are accepting credit cards Master Card, Visa, Discover, Diners Club, and American Express, are now available. Fencing questions, answered by experts

Installing a picket fence includes measuring and marking the area where you plan to build the fence, laying out all of the materials, digging post holes, setting the posts using concrete, measuring the rails, attaching the rails, attaching the pickets, and then painting or staining the fence if you chose a wooden fence material

If you only use your gate as a pedestrian, walking through without a vehicle, you’re fine to stick with a single fence gate. If your fence opening needs to accommodate vehicles of any kind, from cars to trucks to 4-wheelers, then a double fence gate will suit the space much better and give you more freedom.

Green branches are more flexible and easier to work with, but they'll shrink as they dry, which can loosen your fence weave over time—so you'll need to weave them extra tight to account for shrinkage. Some species, particularly willow, may also try to sprout when used green. For these reasons, it’s typically easiest to use branches that have dried for a week or two.

For a chain link fence, the ideal distance between fence posts is 6 to 10 feet apart. Measure carefully to ensure even spacing, and resist the temptation to extend the distance more than 10 feet. Doing so could impact the stability of your fence.

There are many types of wood fencing that you can choose from. For split rail fencing, the most common wood types are cedar, pine, black locust, and chestnut. The best wood for you will depend on if you like the way a certain wood looks and the availability of the wood type in your area.

Most of the wood types you can find at your local home improvement store are good choices since they all have rot-resistant properties or are pressure-treated with pesticides. If none of the wood options speak to the look you’re going for, check out vinyl fencing.
