"If I could give 0 stars, I would. My mom purchased a 24ft round above ground pool and I was there with her to listen to the "sales pitch". Ron gave the basic vague "you will need sand, a large area, and MONEY!" speech. He stated we were responsible for BACKFILL around the pool, not clearing off the BOULDERS & ROCK that was dug up and left in the middle of our yard. Not to mention how so many of the things that were supposed to be delivered with the pool, still have not been corrected. The sales folks will say "initial here for me handing you this book" "sign here to contract the build"... but what they don't tell you is how they will screw you 6 ways to Sunday. $10,000 for a pool and then hundreds of dollars on all of the "extras" that have to happen. Again, very misleading. Also, when you encounter a problem, NO ONE is willing to help or admit that a mistake was made. Terrible customer service, rude employees, and even more rude managers. I plan to tell anyone and everyone how pitiful this company truly is."

FREE Estimates. 5-Year Labor Guarantee. Unique Hardscapes provides the Bowling Green, KY area with hardscaping as well as concrete and brick paving. Walkways, Patios, Water Features, Stone Work.

"A 6-12 week $55k pool install took 10 months and the liner has never stayed up, the pump has been worked on and rigged to run multiple times by the owner Daniel, the pavers were NEVER properly sanded which cost another $2100 for another company to come and redo since Daniel never would. The pool leaks water somewhere since the beginning and I kept being told it was “evaporation” although no pool looses 2-3” of water a DAY from evaporation. He himself told me incorrectly how to vacuum the pool and after I did what he had told me (Bc I videoed his instructions so I would do it properly) it caused more pump issues. I would NEVER recommend this company, pool or pacer work, to anyone! He was more expensive than other companies and I most definitely did NOT get my money worth! I can’t imagine what fixing the leak is going to cost in ground work and plumping."

"We heard noises of tiolet refilling for 2 weeks and contacted Hymer plumbing in this regard. One of their servicemen came out, listened to the noise and repaired one of the 2 toilets upstairs. Immediately after his repair, the refilling toilet noise returned. We re-contacted Hymer plumbing in this regard. They mentioned they would send a service man back out. Unfortunately , prior to his return, the cut off valve on the unrepaired toilet failed and flooded the downstairs costing $1,200.00 for clean up. I depend on these service people to make the right diagnosis and repair. As you can see that didn't happen in this case and what could have been repaired correctly and cost effectively initially turned into a snowball of costs amounting to $1,577.94."

Pool and Spa Servicing questions, answered by experts

Unfortunately, a hot tub does use a relatively large amount of electricity. In fact, much of the money you spend on your hot tub will go toward electricity costs to keep the water heated. A typical hot tub will use anywhere from 1,500 to 6,000 watts of electricity per month.

Regular water testing, filter cleaning, and chemical balancing are essential for keeping water clean and equipment functional.

Follow these general safety tips for spas and hot tubs:

  • Keep your exterior electrical receptacles covered and dry, especially around your hot tub and pool during periods of use.

  • Make sure you have a GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter) properly installed to ensure no one gets accidentally shocked or injured by electrocution.

  • Don’t use the hot tub or your pool during a thunderstorm.

  • Before using the hot tub, have a certified electrician thoroughly inspect your hot tub and its wiring to make sure you’re in full compliance with all applicable local building codes.

Similar to a hot tub, swim spas last anywhere from five to 20 years, depending on quality and your attention to maintenance. The best way to increase the lifespan of your swim spa is to carefully maintain it—including draining it around every six months to deep clean the parts.

Using bubble bath, bath oils, bath salts, or moisturizing products that contain butters or oils can damage your jetted tub. Because of the water pump and jet mechanism, you need to be more selective with products for a jetted tub than you would for a traditional bathtub in order to keep it functioning properly and avoid expensive repairs. These products also leave residue that can feed mildew and mold, so it’s best to avoid them.
