At iRock we are dedicated to the homeowner! our equipment and our services are sized to fit the needs of residential homeowners. driveway grading, limestone delivery and spreading, bulk landscape material to save you money! Send us a message and let us rock you!
"iRock consulted with me on what was being filled in and how big the beds would be. They calculated the amount needed and it was just about perfect! They delivered on time, even after letting me know they may be a few minutes late, and then carefully unloaded onto our driveway. The rock was beautiful "as is" but they also told us that if it got wet it would be even prettier, and they were right. I would highly recommend them for any landscaping needs!"

"Scapes was contracted to refurbish an existing 12x14 (168 ft2) paver patio and stain a pergola. The patio has two sitting walls, one of which was leaning or tilted and needed to be rebuilt. The project reused the existing paver blocks, although a couple of new blocks were added. The quality of the patio work was very good, and I would give them 4 stars for the work. Scapes also stained the pergola which is part of the patio. The quality of the stain application was sub par, and for this effort I can only give them 2 stars. The stain all the way around was uneven, spots were missed, and some spots did not cover the bare wood very well. Scapes also scored very low in the ares of professionalism, responsiveness, and communication. In these areas I can only give them one star. a) Scapes used a different stain than what I had requested and never notified me of the change. Fortunately, the color was very close to what I had requested. (lack of communication and professionalism) b) The pergola is high enough to require a ladder to reach the higher sections for staining. They wanted to borrow a ladder from me. I don't have any ladders, so they went to Lowes to get one (lack of professionalism - when you come to do a job, you need to bring all the right tools). c) Brandon and I inspected the work after completion. We found several areas of the pergola that were not stained. Brandon said he would return another day to do the touch up stain work. After two scheduled times to do the work and two no shows, the work is still not complete. There was never a call or text informing me that he couldn't keep either appointment. (lack of responsiveness, communication, and professionalism) Recommendation: I do not recommend this contractor for the reasons stated above. Yes, they did a very good job refurbishing the patio, but did a lack luster job staining the pergola. And in a sense, never completed the work. Regarding price, I think their cost for the work and effort involved was very reasonable. For price I would give them 5 stars."

"During the estimate, we were advised the work would not be a problem but it ultimately proved to be an issue for Richard. They were quick & efficient at busting up old blacktop to construct new patio. However, he decided to have concrete delivered on one of the hottest days of the summer which caused the concrete to set too quickly. We're left with a bigger mess than what we started with. Not only is our new patio a complete waste, but we've had to pressure wash our house to try and remove the concrete that was slopped all over the siding (some of which was just replaced). Richard's team left our backyard in shambles...covered in tools, garbage, and two large piles of wasted concrete that rendered my driveway useless for over a month. We were told he would stop by to at least clean up his mess, but he only stopped by to pick up his tools. My husband/cousin had to bust up the concrete piles with sledgehammers. Richard was apologetic at first and seemed eager to make it right. However, two months later and he's made no attempt to correct his poor work. We have to get someone else to come in and bust up his bad pour and start from scratch. Lots of energy, time, and money wasted. We do not recommend at all."

"Quality of work was not there. They were hired to do several things for my Mother and then did not like when they were asked to fix the mistakes - firepit was crooked and uneven, fence that was to be tied into another line of fencing didn't come close to matching. It took a couple of days for them to come back out since they were no-call, no-shows (fence is still not correct to what it was supposed to be and while the fire pit is more level, it's not quality work at all). This is on top of being told their mulch would be "weed free" for a certain amount of time and its already growing weeds (likely due to the fact THEY DIDN'T EVEN LAY PAPER UNDER IT) and it has only been a couple of weeks since it was laid. They were to also dig a hole for an above/under ground pool that's going about 2ft in and did not complete that either before pulling the disappearing act. The first couple of days they were timely in showing up then after that all **** broke loose and the quality, professionalism, and work ethic went out the window and in its place came excuses, pettiness, and unprofessionalism. If you hire this company - BEWARE!!! You will spend more time fixing their mistakes than you would if you just did the job yourself. **We have photo evidence of every claim PLUS more! **"

It might seem counterintuitive, but the best time to install a paver patio is during late fall to winter. The cold and wet weather of those seasons can help your patio installer perfect the foundation for your patio. Plus, you'll likely be able to find better sales and deals during the colder months when patio installation business is typically slower. Consult a local patio paver professional to determine the best time to install based on your area’s climate.
The cost of a paver patio is $3,800 for a 280-square-foot patio on average. Depending on the patio size, paver material, and design complexity, this cost can range from $2,400 to $7,000 or more.
The size of your patio is a significant factor in the project’s overall cost. If you're building a smaller patio of only 60 square feet, your costs will be closer to $480 to $1,500. If you want a more luxurious 900-square-foot patio, you'll spend closer to $7,200 to $22,500.
A paver patio can last anywhere from 20 to 100 years, depending on the type of pavers and how well you maintain them.
Travertine pavers are usually the most durable, lasting 100 years or more, with regular maintenance. Concrete brick pavers have a variety of shapes and colors available and typically last 25 to 50 years. Traditional brick pavers have a more classic look, lasting around 20 years with proper maintenance.
It's also necessary to install paver edging when installing a paver patio. This additional step helps prevent the paver borders from shifting outward, which happens due to frequent use and soil expansion over time. By being diligent and placing the paver edging during the patio installation, you can help minimize upkeep and repair costs. Plus, this feature can help maintain your pavers to keep them in place permanently.
While installing a paver patio yourself is possible, we don’t recommend it. First, this project is very time-consuming, averaging around 40 to 50 hours. Beyond the sheer amount of labor required, you need to have knowledge of yard grading and drainage so that rainwater doesn't puddle on your new patio.
Without sufficient expertise, you could encounter several problems, including improper placement and leveling of sand or improperly compacted soil, leading to an uneven surface. For these reasons, hiring a professional paver patio installer is advisable to build the patio of your dreams.
