"I hired Phillips Waterproofing and Concrete for a sump pump and moisture panel installation, and it was a complete nightmare. The work was sloppy and unprofessional: the corners of the moisture panels were left curved, concrete wasn?t poured to the walls, and the sump pump pipe was installed in front of my kitchen cabinets with only a thin, choppy, unfinished pour. I paid over $2,000 for them to stain the concrete, but they never completed the job despite multiple scheduled appointments. They now ignore calls and messages entirely, and both the owner, Kevin Phillips, and son Dylan, have full voicemail boxes. To make matters worse, the original problem?backflow in my half bath?was not resolved, and my home flooded again just weeks after their installation. Because of their negligence, I?ve been forced to spend additional money pursuing legal action to get my money returned. "The owner himself, damaged my privacy fence with equipment, and he left for the day and failed to inform me when the damage was done. The next day, I had to approach him about what happened, he did apologize and we both agreed that it was an accident. He assured me that it would be fixed and we both agreed he could square up when they were finished, in case there was more damage. As the project went on he did not have the proper permits to complete the job and I was worried about him being on my driveway with heavy equipment that he had been asked not to be on, in which they continued. I then asked if the company had insurance and who it was with, the owner never gave me the information. In fact, I spoke with him a couple of times about just paying me for materials and I would fix the fence myself. He kept putting me off until the next day. Well, needless to say I have not received the money for the materials. The fence company estimate was $350, I was only asking $50 for materials and I was going to fix it. There were a lot of issues that were very unprofessional, so it very much did not surprise me that he damaged a brand new fence and walked away without taking care of it. Very, very poor business practices."
