"Our AC went out on Friday afternoon. The Aire Serv repair tech, came out on Saturday morning and told us what we already knew...that our 21 yr old AC unit needed to be replaced. He gave us some tips to help it limp along until we could have a new unit installed. Bill, the Aire Serv sales rep, met us at our house on Monday. We discussed different equipment and options. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He understood we would be getting quotes from other companies and assured us that his pricing be better. After meeting with three other companies, Bill was proven right. Aire Serv was more than $1000 less expensive than the closest competitor for the same Lennox equipment. We signed a contract with Bill on Tuesday afternoon, with the install scheduled two days later on Thursday! The other companies were 2-4 weeks out on installs. The install team (Richard & Justin) arrived promptly at 9am on Thursday and got straight to work. The removal and install was smooth and painless. They finished up around 5pm and spent an additional 45 minutes explaining how the new equipment worked, how to get the most out of the system, and answering our remaining questions. Since I can do most of my services remotely with you over the phone, I am hoping to eventually open up to larger markets and help people from having to take their computer in to get it fixed, if it has internet access, I can usually fix it over the Internet. I work on a flat rate service, and don't charge by the hour because I feel it's important to educate the customer on what the issue is/was, and how to avoid it in the future. I feel that local service companies (my competition) have been overcharging customers for years. I offer a first time customer discount of 10% but I will offer 15% off for first time customers referred by Angies List. I've lived in the Huntsville area most all my life, so I know the area very well. I will never use a subcontractor as I am very picky about making sure that if my name and company is associated with something, it will be the best experience my customer has ever had, and using sub contractors won't ensure that, so I prefer to do all the work myself. Lastly, I should point out that I am a former offensive lineman for the University of Southern Mississippi and was Brett Favre's center his freshman year at Southern. I went on to play for Tom Landry in his last year, but gave up pro football early on to pursue my passion of fixing computers. If I didn't have bills to pay, I would do this for free because I love it! If you have a computer problem, I promise you that you couldn't find a better technician that will care about you as a customer, and not about the bottom line. They did not offer an option of a programmable thermostat, only a single setting thermostat. Not a deal killer, but it would be nice to have a choice."

"What I didn't like, I hadn't had any other problem in my house until I had an air conditioning problem.  While, they did take care of fixing most of the stuff with the air conditioning.  I did have to pay for the coolant that went into it, that was kind of aggravating, since you  know you are already going to pay a $60-$80 service charge for something and the you turn around and think you are covered and find out there are gaps of coverage.  We'll fix the part and pay for the labor but everything else is on you.  I think outside of price all the categories are an "A".  For price I'd give it a "C", because it's not like you are getting complete coverage.  I'd use them again if I needed to, I'd definitely consider it."
