He performed a thorough inspection on what was causing the water to sit in the crawlspace and went over what would be required to keep the moisture and water from affecting the structural integrity of the house. While we did not end up purchasing the home, we greatly appreciated his willingness to come down and do an inspection and give us an estimate. "Josh and the team did a really big job for us last week. They encapsulated our large crawl space, treated wood for mold, installed a sump pump, filled multiple cracks in our foundation, added two drainage systems to the exterior of our house and even cleared out the original drainage pipes in our retaining wall. It was a lot of work and I couldn't be happier that we decided to go with General Waterproofing. We had several quotes from other companies, some much more expensive, but Josh was the only one that actually discovered WHY we had water in our crawlspace and created a plan to tackle that problem. Going with the company that wasn't just putting a bandaid on the situation and was reasonably priced was no-brainer. Also, a number of the other companies were really aggressive and fear-mongered- I did not get that feeling from General Waterproofing at all. They were very upfront about the issues and did not try to upsell me on unnecessary systems or upgrades. The crew was polite"

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
