"I was a little confused as I was assured by sales person my flooring was waterproof but was told by installers the floor was water resistant not waterproof. I Contacted Empire but never received a response so was a little disappointed.Question has not been answered."

The fastest way to remove carpet is to remove carpet in strips instead of trying to remove it in one large piece. Wear protective equipment such as gloves and goggles, use a utility knife to cut the carpet in long strips, and then pull at the edge of the strip to loosen the staples or glue.
