They did fantastic work and even cleaned the fence when done and took off the old chain link and all trash!! Your gate should be 3/4 to an inch smaller than the opening. The opening size that you need for your gate can vary depending on your hinge type. You may also need to add reinforcing braces if the gap between your gate and the fence is not uniform from top to bottom.

These typically range between 12 and 16 inches long and are over 1.5 inches in diameter.

To stop trash from blowing under your gate, you can install anti-litter netting. This solution prevents most large debris from being blown inside of a controlled area and is often used in construction sites. Many types of netting are not designed for permanent use, so you may need to search for a style that matches your gate color.

There are a few possible issues that are causing your gate to sage. The hinges may be bent, or the screws holding the hinges to the post could fail—causing the gate to sag from one side to the other. The gate itself may also have come out of square due to failing supports, causing it to sag. On the other hand, it’s possible the gate isn’t the issue at all. The post holding the gate aloft may lean inward, causing the gate to sag.
