Very fair price. They showed up to work when they said. Job was done perfectly. And they didn’t want to be paid unless I was satisfied. I would recommend them highly.

Very well except when asked about sealing driveway he recommended sealant which I later found out was not the appropriate time to do so.

We were very pleased with their punctuality and professionalism. They were very pleasant to work with. Their price was very good compared to other estimates that we received.

The estimate: Mr. Stanley came out and measured my driveway, and I informed him I wanted to expand my driveway. He was very professional and made it clear he wanted to make sure I was satisfied with his work. I received two estimates. His estimate was approx. $3K less than the other. The work: The quality of the work is pretty good. There are a couple of low spots where the water puddles a little, but not a big deal to me. There was one spot under my chimney where water collected. I informed him of this and they had it fixed. The fix looks different from the rest of the driveway, but not a big deal to me either. I would recommend this company for sure, and am glad to give my business to a local company.

I needed my driveway sealed in preparation for selling the house and George did a fantastic job on a compressed schedule and it looks great. The price was reasonable and the work was done very nicely. Would definitely recommend.

Joe responded to my message the same day. He came out right away for an estimate which was reasonable compared to others. The work was scheduled the day I requested. Joe and his crew arrived as scheduled, were very easy to work with and finished the job in one day. I would definitely recommend this company to others and would use them again. Our driveway looks great!

Called Joe for an estimate. He arrived on the date agreed upon and a little early. Joe provided an estimate and stated he could do the job in one day with a week's lead time. I scheduled the date and Joe and his crew arrived on time, Did the job in one day and did a great job. I am very happy with the work and Joe stuck to estimate. Joe might be the first contractor I have ever worked with that actually did what he agreed to do.

Good.  Gave me the price they quoted 8 months ago.  Came out as scheduled and did a good job.  Explained difference between LATEX-based sealant and the better-quality OIL-based sealant that they use.   Won't need sealed again for 3 years - i put them on my calendar to call them again then.

Charged over three times more than competitors who have quoted me for the same service. I am having the same driveway seal-coated for $67 this time.

It was a great experience and the whole process only took three hours from start to finish. Our driveway looks great and the men worked professionally and efficiently. This company gave us more blacktop, at a better price than a competitor did in a previous estimate. We highly recommend Joe Stanley's Paving and are so happy with the service that we will be using them again in the spring to reseal the driveway.

The work was done quickly, but the repouring was not as expected. Overall it was satisfactory, but it wasn't particularly smooth. When I contacted them, I was told that it would be smooth AFTER the next time I sealed it. I find that unsatisfactory. For the amount of money spent, I expect it to be smooth now. I've sent a letter to Mr. Stanley asking that he honor the one-year guaranty and fix the problem when the weather warms up. I will update this if, and when, the problem is corrected.

Issue:

-Originally I had not planned to get my driveway sealed on 10/04/13.

-At the time my neighbors were getting there driveway sealed.

-While they were leaving my neighbors, they backed up with their trailer in my driveway. When pulling out they scraped the driveway with the trailer jack. I mentioned this to them and they agreed to take a look.

-We worked out a deal to seal the whole driveway that same day.

-While sealing the driveway, they pull their pickup truck in the driveway as there hose is not long enough to reach from the street.

In the process the air conditioner is running and dripping puddles of water on the driveway. I did not say anything at the time, thinking these guys know best. Therefore it should not cause any issues.

-The next day 10/05/13 I can see large reddish spots from where their pickup trucks air conditioner was dripping water.

-I called to have the issue fixed. They were responsive and came out the same day to touch it up. At the time I asked if it will match. I was told it will look just like new.

-The next day 10/06/13 you can now see large patch areas from the middle of the street. We had nothing but sunshine (No Rain or Clouds).

-On 10/07/13, it rained.

-On 10/08/13 I called to let them know there are large patches visible from the street.

-They told me " I'm not sure what else/more we can do from your air conditioner dripping water". I had to correct him and tell him " No this was from your pickup truck".

-They tell me " Well what do you want me to do? How particular are you?" At this point professionalism is out the window.

-I said " I tell you what, why don't you come see it for yourself? You can see it from the middle of the street".

-They tell me " it needs time to cure and since it rained on 10/07/13 the sun hasn't had a chance to hit yet". Remind you that we had nothing but sunshine on 10/06/13 (the day after they touched it up).

-They say " give it a week to cure. If that doesn't take care of it we will come touch it up, and heat it up with a torch".

-I responded with " well you already touched it up. Now it’s thicker in those areas then the rest of the driveway. I don't want more patches you can see from the street".

- I especially don't want my driveway torched. I have seen that done when two loads of asphalt are used to pave a driveway. It smears it into a sheet of tar

Bottom Line:

-To this point I am not happy considering this all started with them scraping my driveway. They should have never backed into my driveway in the first place.

-I'm sure they knew their pickup truck was dripping water on the driveway. The guys sealing are spraying right over it. They should have known this was going to dilute the sealer and leave spots.

-Upon their initial mistake, they should have resealed the entire driveway instead of patching it. Now it does not match.

I am pretty sure that giving it a week is not going to blend in thicker spots with the rest of the driveway. Another week of it looking like this is just going to make me more upset.

-Maybe if everyone pulling down the street couldn't see the patches, I wouldn't care. However, you can see this very easily from the street.

-To fix this issue they should reseal the entire driveway so it all matches, or refund my money.

-I would have been less likely to write this review if it wasn’t for the unprofessionalism I received over the phone on 10/08/13.

- Hopefully they resolve the issue and I can write a better/final review.
