GREAT! Movers were professional and friendly. Carefull with furniture and asked questions when necessary. Move was completed within quoted parameters. Wardrobe boxes were forgotten so the owner provided a cost adjustment. Excellent customer service. We used the company a few years ago and had the same quality experience.

Horrendous Broken furniture Lost parts fights between owner and movers resulting in people quitting mid move Didn't show up day 2 Won't respond to BBB. Never ever use this company. I've used many different moving companies over the years, and N.L. Wilson was the best experience I've ever had... they did an amazing job for us this week! We moved to new construction and I've never seen a company take so many precautions to protect floors, walls, etc.! They were on time, worked quickly, and most importantly, took care of our things. Jenna at the office was awesome to work with, helpful, responsive, and so nice! The guys that moved us were exactly the same way too. I will be recommending them to anyone that needs their services, plus they are locally owned and that makes the choice even that much easier!

In my opinion this was the worst case of business etiquette someone that a company could do for a client. NL Wilson initially did a very thorough job in estimating the cost and weight to relocate us. The movers were very friendly and took great care of our items. They ensured they were protected and both homes were protected from damage. Now to the truth of the matter. I called two weeks prior confirming the date and pickup as well as the delivery date and time. I felt the truck they might send would be too small based on some of the bulky items we had. They assured us that based on the information from the estimate, the truck would have plenty of space. Concerned, I sold a lot of our larger, bulkier and heavy items to reduce the amount of weight and space. The estimate was for 8000lbs our total was over 10000lbs. Costing us another $800 in moving expenses. The best part of the story is the fact they left a 1/2 room of items. They provided me with no instructions, directions or contact numbers. I tried numerous times to call the office to find a solution. There was no answer and the office close at 5pm. I was forced to rent a Uhaul, load my own items and take them to my new location. One owner called around 10pm stating that they would reimburse me for the hassle, rental etc. When we arrived, they will not unload your items until you are fully paid. I voiced my concerns again and paid the quoted amount, waiting to be reimbursed for the extra hassle which was promised. Three weeks later with numerous email chains and phone calls, they decided they do not want to reimburse me. They look at it as a favor that they hauled more than the estimated amount. Everyone said they would have done the same thing. I felt the manager was disrespectful and showed no apathy. I would advise people to seek other movers and read the fine details they provide. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone and would actually suggest avoiding them if at all possible.

It was awful from the start. They were supposed to be at the house between 8 an 8:30 am. There were supposed to be 4 guys. It was supposed to be loaded and unloaded the same day. When they hadn’t showed up by 9 am my wife called me and said she had tried to reach them but it went into voicemail. When she tried to leave a message it hung up. I tried and our realtor tried, same result. I was at the new hose waiting for the cable man. Finally I had to drive down to south Olathe. They told me that the crew had to untold their truck cause another crew had not in loaded it over the weekend. The got there at 11:30 am. There were only 3 guys and for one of them it was the first day on the job. The truck wasn’t loaded until 6 pm. The owners wanted to unload the truck that night into the garage of our new house. I told them no absolutely not. They had already wrecked the door on my 1800 dollar stainless steel refrigierator. Turns out they broke a leg on my wife's desk (which they fixed) and the door on an upright freezer (which they still haven't fixed). So the last thing I wanted was for them to move anything more that night. I told them bring the freezer, refrigerator and the bed. Put the first two in the garage and put the bed together. My wife had to go out and buy sheets and a blancket and toiletries. Next day I am over at the old house waiting for the plumber to come to move our reverse osmosis drinking water system and the soft water tank. My wife calls and says the movers wont unload the truck untill we paid in full. Plus they had additional charges. I told her the contract stated 1450, period. It was not to exceed that amount. They said that there were additional charges for moving a treadmill, freezer, and large refrigeratior. Plus an extra fuel charge for distance. It was 4 miles between the two houses. Also a long driveway charge. The couldn"t even get their 26 foot truck completely into our driveway. The cab blocked one side of the street. They saind unless we could produce a copy of the contract they were going to insist on the extra charges. I told my wife where the contract was and she paid and they unloaded our things...........eight hours late. Oh, did tell you they showed up the second day with only 2 people. 1 short of the previous day and 2 short of the contract. Finally, everything was unloaded and put away except for my desk which I had to take apart and my wife and I moved upstairs into my office. I told my realtor and she said she would call the owner. By Thursday I had not heard anything and my Realtor said she would call. I finally received a call from the owner Thursday night and we worked out a deal. He refunded me 800 dollars which did not cover the door. The appliance store we went to sad it probably wouldn't match the door. We bought a new refrigerator.......not from them. The moving company did fix the desk but I have given up on the freezer. What you should know is that Matt who wrote the contract and who we had dealt with in the past is no longer with the company. We found that out the day of the move that he had left.

Charged exorbitantly, and charged even more after the articles arrived at my other house by several thousand dollars, even though I was told that they were going to decrease the bill. The charges were over $27,000 by the time they were finished. I was able to move back with another service for less than $7,000 and with the same quality of service.

It went ok. I've used them twice before and had excellent service. However, this time it was a different crew. They were professional and easy to work with, They protected the floor and wrapped the furniture well, but didn't protect the door frames as the previous crew had done until they had already run into them. At that time I asked them to protect the door frames and they did with no further mishaps.

The three young men - Robert, Brandon, and Adam - were courteous, efficient,, professional, hard-working, and had a sense of humor. They made a very difficult situation much more pleasant with their "can-do" attitudes and humor. They were very nice young men and I would definitely hire this company again. I emphasized that I was especially concerned about a couple marble tops and they handled them carefully and no damage to them.

Things actually started off on the wrong foot for the day of my move. But here is the rest of the story... One of the NL Wilson owners met me at the storage facility in Merriam, and we had a very good conversation about the challenges we were facing. Bottom line... the owner immediately corrected all of the challenges on the spot! The rest of the day was an A+++! I think it is important that I share that were some challenges as a company, like NL Wilson, chose to display their company values in both their words and their actions with this VERY satisfied customer. I HIGHLY recommend NL Wilson Moving & Storage for ALL of your customized moving needs, as they are a company that practices what they say they will deliver!

The initial call was fine but on appointment day I took off work to meet them at the house. After waiting 45 minutes I called because Matt was a no show and hadn't called and we had a showing on our home happening shortly at this point. They said they were sure he would call or reschedule. I told them my husband could stay at the house the rest of the afternoon so he could come any time. Never called. Never showed up. Almost two weeks later - still nothing. I guess they don't want our business.
