"The sales guy seemed pretty new and there was a point that he called his supervisor and the call was on speaker and seemed staged. The supervisor was very degrading and spoke very condescendingly to the salesman and it really put a bad taste in our mouth. The carpet installers seemed good though"

"Excellent. Joe is very conscientious in his approach to the layout of the tile, and the installation process. He is personable and open to discussion and ideas. I will definitely hire him again and will share his information with everyone I know that is looking for tile installation in bath, shower, kitchen, floors, or walls."

"The service was great. Honestly, they were very personable. The installation took time because of the delays due to Covid. They were very respectful with my space, needs and schedule. They were knowledgeable and the price was reasonable."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

If the hearth ends against a wall, you can use a tile cutter as you normally would. However, if the edge of your hearth ends with no surface pressing against it,you may want to look into rounded tiles. These give a smooth edge to your hearth and make sure cut edges aren’t visible. You can also see if the tile you have has pieces that have been glazed or rounded on one edge. You’d then cut the tile and place it normally, with the cut edge facing inward.

Updating your backsplash without removing the tile is possible in a couple of different ways. First, you can remove the old grout and replace it with new grout to give your backsplash a fresh look. You can also change the grout color, which can have a surprisingly large impact on the final appearance of the backsplash. Finally, you can paint the original tile to totally change the look of the backsplash without removing it.

Yes, tile floor removal is a physically demanding project that takes between eight and 12 hours per 100 square feet. It also requires protective gear and closing the area off with construction-grade plastic sheeting to avoid dust and damage to other parts of your home.

If you’re out of spacers for your tile installation, you can use pennies. Each time you place a tile, stick the pennies around the edges (on the sides and the corners). Like working with spacers, you’ll want the same amount of space around each tile before they set.

Glass, ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone are all excellent choices for tiling a shower floor. Some glazed finishes can be slippery when wet. Your tiling contractor can provide more information on which tiles will work best for your shower floor.
