The amount of time it takes to repipe a bathroom depends on how much piping needs to be replaced and how accessible the pipes are. Smaller, easily accessible jobs may only take a few hours, but projects that require drywall removal or removing old pipes or large clogs can take several days.

Where you drain a hot tub largely depends on local regulations, but you must not drain chemically treated water where it can damage the environment. You’ll only need to replace your sink’s pipes when you start to notice signs of wear like corrosion or leaking. Most pipes last somewhere between 20 and 100 years, depending on the material. Copper and cast iron can last up to 100 years. Galvanized steel and brass generally have a 50-year lifespan. PVC pipes last 25 to 40 years.

Depending on your type of washer and dryer, you will need to hire a local natural gas plumber and an electrician to install washer and dryer hookups. Plumbers can also handle the additional drain pipes necessary for the new hookups. You may also need a contractor who can handle any needed drywall repair for the washer and dryer vent.
