It's not a walk in closet, just a double-door reach-in. Once the cabinet was installed, I set out to find someone to paint it. I sent a message to Carnival Custom Painting to request a bid. (The closet has been completely caulked and 90% of the nail holes filled. We're looking to have it primed and spray painted white. We would pay for materials.) I sent the request for an estimate on Sunday afternoon. Didn't hear back from Ron until Wednesday. When he did reach out, he said the earliest he could come out was at 3PM the following Tuesday. (That puts us about a week and a half out from my initial request for a bid.) Around 2:50 on Tuesday, Ron called to tell me he was 45 minutes away, i.e. 30 minutes late. Not a deal breaker, but also not impressive. Despite all of that, I was still optimistic that the estimate would be on target and we could get started. No way. The estimate is nearly twice what it should be, according to my father in law, who's been a builder for 30+ years. I'm now reaching out to other vendors for bids, hoping they're more responsive, punctual and reasonable. We knew going in that the space we had was twice the size of the specifications in the coupon deal, and that we wanted several upgrades, which would increase cost. After consulting with Allan, who was understanding about our desire to delay starting work due to unexpected family illness, we considered and decided to expand the project further, to include a movable island work surface and to upgrade the countertops to quartz to suit our taste, as well as to vastly improve our entire home by partially removing the short wall between the living room and the kitchen. Allan worked with us to facilitate a move of a freestanding freezer from our kitchen to the garage. We chose to match the new ceilings in the kitchen, by having them scrape and retexture the ceilings in the living room and hallway, which adjoined the kitchen. We further enhanced our homes' new look with new interior doors, which they installed for us and then we chose to paint them ourselves. (A great thing for us as it is something we can do and wanted to do.) They retextured and repaired a couple of cracks in the living room where our house had settled, and then we painted the living room and hallway and entryway. They also installed a pendant light in our entryway. Our experience was really good. Allan initially, and as situations arose, offered options for design solutions in our kitchen, then when we caught our own vision he was accommodating to our desires, including the choice of countertop material and color, paint choice, type and size of backsplash tile. This changed the pricing in some cases, as was necessary and fair. Though we had never before taken on a project of this size, we were comfortable from the very early days with Allan and Chris being in our home. Because my husband was out of town on business for days at a time during the project, they both ended up having to discuss details with me, throughout the project. I could imagine types of people that would have made that unpleasant, uncomfortable, or unbearable, but these are good, hardworking guys who care about the details and are good people to have around. The subcontractors also were good, including the countertop installers and Dave, who installed the beautiful hardwood floors. We anticipate having Allan and Chris do other remodeling projects for us in the future. When I initially called I didnt know alot about what I was talking about and had alot of questions. They answered them with ease and respect. When the service guy came out to my house he looked professional and had all of the equipment and tools that he needed. He took care to not scuff up any of my walls or paint. He also covered his boots so not to track dirt all over my new white carpet. He cleaned my air ducts quickly and efficently and explained to me the whole process. When he was done he cleaned up any mess that he made and had me sign the service papers. When he left I felt like he actually cared about me as a customer. About a week later the same gentleman returned to my house to do a check up/follow up appointment, just to make sure everything was working and if I was satisfied as a customer. Robbie has a wonderful easy going personality. He is polite, very punctual, organized, professional and clean. He owns the company himself, and does all the work himself. This might sound as if he would take longer than a crew, but he is so fast...and clean. He cuts in around all the trim without having to mask everything, and we never found a drip or run anywhere. He did all the interior work in 2 days. He was really good about cleaning up at the end of the day...not leaving us in a big mess. We had stripped wallpaper border off in the kitchen and for some reason the paint didn't hold there, we called and he promptly came back, and put another coat on that area. I would highly recommend him to anyone...you definitely get your money's worth. The fact that he doesn't have to mask everywhere, cuts his painting time in half. We've been happy with all of his work, and intend to use him again in the future."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/mo/blue-springs/sure-choice-painting-reviews-393647.htm"},"position":8}]}

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts
It’s possible to paint certain drop ceiling tiles, including those made of plastic, metal, and wood. Painting fiberboard ceiling tiles is technically possible, but the results rarely look appealing, so it’s best to replace them with new tiles, especially given how affordable they are. If you do paint your drop ceiling tiles, it’s a good idea to use a paint sprayer and a rapidly-drying paint to avoid drips. Latex paint is often a good choice, especially if you thin it and apply it using a sprayer.
It takes three to four days on average for a team of two to three painters to paint an average-sized (three-to-four-bedroom) house. Larger homes, such as three-story homes and five-bedroom homes, can take two to three painters around five to six days to paint. Your contractor can provide the most accurate estimated timeline for the project.
Yes, you can paint an entire wall using just a brush. In fact, it may make the most sense on narrow walls where a roller would be impractical, but be prepared for it to take more time. We still recommend cutting in around corners and trim, then distributing paint around the rest of the wall as evenly and smoothly as possible.
Matching new paint with an old, faded color can be tricky. First, you’ll need to determine whether the paint on your house is latex-based or oil-based. Lightly scrub an inconspicuous area of your home with rubbing alcohol—if the alcohol scrubs away the paint, it’s latex-based. If not, the paint is oil-based.
Once you have that settled, bring a paint chip or photo of the color to a paint professional and have them mix you a matching paint in the same base (latex or oil). Then paint another inconspicuous part of your house to see if it’s a match.
It is possible to paint stucco siding. Painting stucco offers the advantages of providing a refreshed appearance and matching the patched area with the rest of the painted structure. However, there are some considerations to keep in mind.
Painting the entire structure, including stucco patches, can make it more challenging to reapply stucco in the future if desired. Stucco is a breathable material that allows moisture to evaporate, while paint can create a barrier, potentially trapping moisture.
To minimize these risks, it's important to choose high-quality breathable paint and ensure proper surface preparation. Before deciding to paint stucco, careful consideration should be given to the long-term implications and desired aesthetic.
