"I seldom only do bad reviews, but not this time. We had a large limb break and it was laying over the fence barely hanging on. Treesus came by to quote the removal along with trimming 3 other LARGE trees and even offered to remove the limb even if we didn’t hire them, said it was dangerous and didn’t want anybody to get hurt. They made short work of the limb and came back a week later to trim the other trees. I have nothing but praise for Treesus. Professional and courageous crew. They cleaned up all the different areas they trimmed and they asked repeatedly if everything was to our liking. The trees look amazing. This type of work is not easy nor for the faint of heart. I will definitely be using them in the future and recommending them to neighbors, friends and family."

"The tech was very professional. There was a delay in getting the work done but management did apologize for the confusion (they had me confused with another customer with the same last name). The sales person (arborist) was very thorough, and the price was a very good deal."

"It went extremely well. So well in fact that I hired them to do some additional work. I called other companies and could not even get them to show up to even give me a bid. D & T showed up both time's on time when they gave me the bid and when they started the job. From the beginning to the end, from cutting down the tree to the clean up and hauling off was quality work. Would recommend D & T highly."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Cutting down a dead tree is always strongly advisable. Aside from being an eyesore, a dead tree can be extremely hazardous, especially when it’s near people or structures. Even if the tree isn’t near your home, it can still harbor pests and diseases that can potentially spread to nearby plants and homes.

The cost of professional tree service, such as trimming, is $460 on average, but the price can range from $75 to $1,800. A more typical range is between $200 and $760. The final price depends on several factors, including the size and type of the tree. For example, trimming Crepe Myrtle trees costs an average of $80 to $400, while giant pine trees can range from $200 to $1,800. Other factors that influence the cost include the time of year, as services are often more expensive in the spring. Your location can also play a role; costs may be higher if you live in a remote area or if the tree is difficult to access. However, some professionals may offer a discount if you have multiple trees that need service.

In most cases, leaving tree roots underground is not a problem if the stump has been removed or ground below the soil. However, some larger roots may decompose, leaving dents in your soil. Additionally, some aggressive trees, including willows, oaks, elms, maples, and poplars may grow back from roots. Large aggressive trees with established root systems are more likely to grow back.

Bradford pear trees bloom in early spring with small white flowers. They typically flower for at least two weeks. In bloom, these trees often emit a foul-smelling odor that’s often compared to rotting fish. Bradford pear trees will sometimes bloom in the fall due to drought or other stress-inducing conditions.

Late winter is ideal, but if you’re pruning apple trees in the spring, prune them as early as possible in the season. You want to ensure your tree is just creeping out of dormancy and hasn’t started pushing out new growth. If you prune your tree too late into spring, you generally won’t see results until the following year.

That said, there’s no pruning season for unhealthy growth. Remove dead, dying, or diseased branches as soon as you notice them, regardless of the time of year.
