"Working with Hays and Sons was not a good experience. We had water damage and they made repairs without checking with our insurance company so we ended up paying out of pocket. They did a terrible job painting our ceiling and their solution was to paint one stripe at the top of each wall. Now we have to paint all the walls on the first floor ourselves. They initially charged us for over $2,000 of services they did not provide. I think they hope customers don't look carefully at the bills, especially if the insurance company is paying."

Carpet Wholesale Showroom Flooring Sales and Installation

"3 rooms of carpet purchased and installed. it was supposed to be all the same carpet. A piece was damaged and replaced with "the same carpet just a different weight" and the different piece was supposed to be in the smallest bedroom out of sight. What my 73 year old mother received is what is noticeably different, in the main bedroom and 3 seams noticeably different with a walkin closet in the Master bedroom a noticeably different piece of carpet. The replacement piece was NOT in the smallest bedroom as promised. At the store looking at the swatches, my mother could tell the difference, i couldn't. She wanted her money back. I couldn't tell. The salesman said it was the same. I heard the manager on the phone "what's her problem, it's the same". I thought she was wrong and talked her into it. 2 lessons 1: trust your mothers old eyes 2: Gettysburg Wholesale-Carpet saleman and manager are FOS."

"If I could give them zero stars, I would... absolutely horrible company. They subcontract out the work (our installers spoke no English and could not communicate with us at all!) so they can blame it on the installers, then won't call you back when you have an issue with your floor. My issue was one broken board, they refuse to send someone out to even look at it and have determined that we broke it. It's Lvp flooring, supposed to be durable... it's only 2.5 years old and looks worn and broken. DON'T USE THEM!! Unprofessional, use subpar contractors, and low quality product that won't hold up!"
