Price Piano Movers and Tuning Company

I hired Tim Price and paid in full up front. Now he is avoiding my calls and will not respond. I've left at least a dozen voicemails. Unless there has been some sort of an emergency this is just downright disgraceful.

I was very skeptical about Tim Price Piano Movers as I saw the bad reviews after giving him the job. When I mentioned this to him, he did not get defensive nor deny it but told me about his life during that time. I am happy to report that everything in the move went great. They were on time, were respectful of our carpet as it had been raining that day. They wrapped the piano carefully and got it there without any problems.

After they were late by 20-30 minutes I finally got them on the phone and they were in the wrong city, even though I'd given them the address and directions. That made them almost 2 hrs late. He offered a lower rate for the delivery if I'd go ahead and book and pay him to come back and tune it. I did but he did a lousy job of tuning and was supposed to be here at 11 am but finally showed up at 6 pm.

new floors scratched. were not prepared with any equipment to move piano (pads or dollies). asked us for a blanket. had to hire someone else to move the piano back in place. i mistakenly thought services were evaluated by angies list. Update 1/20/2017: I am writing to update a complaint and provide clarification to your company. I noticed that Price Piano Moving and Tuning responded to my negative review of their services, putting the responsibility on me, the customer. They stated that they were not given the opportunity to make reparations. I am pointing out now that they never responded to my complaint and I called them directly. They never returned my contact - IN ANY WAY. The cost of their services was to include them moving the piano back to its original place after carpeting installation. They did not respond to my contact - ever. They did not even apologize or offer to finish the job. I told them when I needed it done, yet they called me repeatedly to change their availability and when they would do the job. In the end, I reluctantly agreed to their convenience, rather than sticking to my needs. Moving the piano out of the room one day and returning it either later that day or the next was part of the fee I paid. The fact is that they sent people who were unprepared (no rollers or furniture padding) and inexperienced to do the job. I could have dragged it across the floor for free. They asked us for blankets to use as padding. This is not a piano moving company. They did no even provide a receipt. They are not professionals. Are they going to pay $600 to repair their damage? That is the reparation that I would expect. I seriously doubt it. They don't even return contact or follow-up with the customer. They cashed my check immediately and had no intention of returning. Their response is ridiculous. I have relied upon Angies List to locate REPUTABLE contractors and service providers. I am now questioning how these providers are vetted and whether they are at all. I intend to look for other sources of recommendation in the future. the Thank you,

He had to tune twice and explained the entire process in a way I could understand.  My piano sounds beautiful now.

Went fine. My mother-in-law was waiting in Lexington. They had to change the original time, but they warned us. Got it to my place an hour away, no breakage during transport or unloading. Tim and Dave were friendly and had the right dolly for the job. Can't ask for much else.

The piano arrived in excellent shape and the care provided to our new piano by Tim and assistant was careful and respectful to the instrument. I would recommend him for moving without any reservation.  EXCELLENT job Tim!

Tim was very professional to deal with!  He treated our piano as if he was moving his own.  He and his crew were excellent, and I will continue to use them in the future for all piano related services.
