The entire staff at Hickory Acres always takes the BEST care of our two dogs, Norman and Phil. We never worry about them when we are away, and they come home happy, well rested, and clean. It's the finest kennel we've ever used, and the ONLY place to board your dog!

Our dogs consistently come home happy and exactly the same condition they were when I dropped them off. The Husers have the finest kennels around and their staff is friendly and so helpful. I cannot say enough good things about them!

Their care was excellent. I changed from the kennel I had gone to because I wasn't pleased with the grooming, Hickory Acres did a great job. Our vet raved about this kennel.

Was apprehensive, as the dog is normally not boarded. The last time was about two years ago. When I picked him up, he seemed to have weathered the experience very well. The staff was friendly and seems to care very much about the animals. If the occasion arises again, I will definitely be using Hickory Acres again.

I've boarded my dog there on several occasions. Each time, he's treated very well and always comes home clean and happy.

The owners live on the property and are heavily involved in the day to day operations. Their house is close to the kennel; and they employ bright, young people who remembered our dogs. They also provide extra services such as play time and grooming. It is a full service kennel. They are way out in the country, which is probably a good thing. The price is right, and the listed cost is per dog per day. Our dogs are going back in May for a second visit.

This was the first time we'd used them. The place was spotless. We could really tell that the employees there truly care about the animals. The grooming work they did was great too. It's amazing how much less hair we've found since he's had his treatment.

They were a very wonderful personalized friendly service. 2 night minimum.

Great. The dogs were happy and healthy when we got back, and the staff really seems to get to know each dog.

We have used them on numerous occasions. They always put the dogs in the same kennel so they feel like they are at home. They recently changed their Sunday hours to make it more convenient to pick them up. The dogs never smell when we pick them up. We would highly recommend them and always use them for our kennel needs. The cost is $20 per dog, per day.

The dogs were well cared for. The little one is nervous around big dogs and likes to be held close to people, so they kept him with them in the grooming room. Both dogs did well and did not seem stressed at pick up time.

I felt my dog was well taken care of and appeared to enjoy staying there. I will use them again anytime I need to go out of town.

I've taken my beagle to Hickory Acres probably six times in the past seven months, and have been very pleased. One time she stayed there for two weeks. They have also bathed her on occasion. I feel that the cost has been reasonable.

Overall a good experience. My dogs were new to the kennel but didn't seem to have any problems adjusting. The location is a bit inconvenient, but I'd use them again.

ALWAYS A VERY FRIENDLY GREETING UPON ARRIVAL. THE STAFF MEETS ANY SPECIAL NEEDS SUCH AS ADMINISTERING MEDICATIONS, PLAY TIME, AND BATHING JUST BEFORE PICK-UP. THEY MAKE ME FEEL WE ARE LEAVING OUR DOG WITH A MEMBER OF THE FAMILY! SUPERIOR SERVICES!!

THE HUSERS AND THEIR STAFF ARE GREAT. WE USED THE KENNEL FOR OUR FIRST DOG FOR MORE THAN TEN YEARS AND WERE ALWAYS VERY HAPPY. OUR NEW DOG IS ALREADY A REGULAR, AND THEY DO A GREAT JOB; THEY SEEM TO KNOW HIS PERSONALITY. WE HAVE USED THE PICKUP AND DELIVERY SERVICE IN THE PAST AND IT IS VERY CONVENIENT.

I REALLY LIKED THIS FACILITY, BUT IT IS SO FAR FROM MY HOME THAT IT ISN'T TERRIBLY CONVENIENT FOR SHORT TRIPS. IT WAS ALSO INCONVENIENT FOR THE KENNEL TO BE CLOSED FOR SEVERAL HOURS EVERY AFTERNOON.

WE WERE VERY HAPPY AND SO WAS OUR DOG WITH HIS STAY.

THE DOG AND CAT CAME BACK HEALTHY AND HAPPY AND THE STAFF WERE POLITE - THEREFORE THE B. HOWEVER, THE DOG DID NOT GET THE BATH I REQUESTED, THEY LOST THE CAT CARRIER (MAKING IT FUN TO GET HER HOME), AND I NOW WONDER IF THE DOG GOT THE EXERCISE RUNS I ASKED AND PAID FOR. NOT BAD BUT THERE ARE BETTER.

HANK, OUR ROTTWEILER, WENT RIGHT TO THE YOUNG LADY WHEN WE ARRIVED AT THE KENNEL. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THAT SINCE MOST PEOPLE ARE AFRAID OF HIS 130 POUNDS. IT MADE LEAVING OUR BABIES A LOT EASIER. CASEY, OUR DALMATION, HAD A WOUND ON HIS BACK PAW, IT WAS HEALING NICELY WHEN WE PICKED THEM UP. THEY DID MISS GIVING HIM 3 DOSES OF HIS MEDICINE. BOTH DOGS HAD LOST A LITTLE WEIGHT (THAT IS TO BE EXPECTED), BUT THEY WERE HEALTHY AND VERY HAPPY TO SEE US. WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THE STAFF AND WOULD RECOMMEND HICKORY ACRES TO ANYONE. WE CALLED FROM MEXICO TO CHECK ON THEM; THE STAFF NEVER MADE US FEEL WE WERE BOTHERING THEM.

MY DOG DEVELOPED BLOAT WHILE BOARDED THERE. THE OWNER NOTICED SOMETHING AMISS, AND MADE SURE TO CHECK LATER THAT NIGHT. HE RECOGNIZED THE CONDITION (WHICH I WOULD NOT HAVE) AND GOT THE DOG EMERGENCY CARE IN TIME TO SAVE HIM. COMES HOME AS CLEAN AS WHEN HE LEFT, EVEN IF I DIDN'T ORDER A BATH. SEEMS TO ENJOY EXPERIENCE.
