Before they did any work, they walked my wife and I around the property and talked us through the best place to run the wire. This was extremely helpful, as we weren't really sure how to maximize the amount of space for our dogs. It was clear to us that the team's first and most important concern was bringing us onto the same page. Once they helped us make a game plan, they began their work. The installers at PPF have a great system in place. While one person is laying the wire, the other is preparing/installing the electrical components and power supply for the fence. Both guys were so skilled at what they were doing. The result of these factors was a thorough and fast completion of the job. Once the job was complete, PPF worked with us to train our dog to understand the lay of the land and how to respect the flags/fence. They also make sure you know exactly how to use every bit of equipment. You will realize right away that these people genuinely care about your pets. Their understanding of the behavioral psychology of dogs paired with their patience and diligence in training guarantee that you and your pet will get the most benefit out of the product. The tech in the equipment is what really sets PPF apart from their competition. Put simply, it is perfectly optimized for both owners and pets alike. The battery in the collar lasts for 2-3 months on a 1-hour charge. They aren't trying to make you buy replacement batteries like other companies do. The power unit for the fence is fitted with anti-lightning measures as well as a battery-backup in case you lose power. The technology used in the collar for correcting the dog is designed to be humane yet effective. We are suckers for our standard poodle puppy, and seeing her receive corrections from the collar did not concern us in the slightest. "We have a 120lb stubborn, one year old puppy and recently had Pittsburgh Pet Fence installed. I have to admit I almost cancelled our appointment because I was becoming skeptical that this would work for him BUT I am happy to report it is working amazingly!!!
