HICKORY ACRES BOARDING KENNELS

They're excellent and I would not consider using anyone else. They're very kind to my dog and always do a beautiful job on grooming and bathing. She's a very big dog and they're excellent with her. They also do boarding.

They have a lovely facility on a wooded lot. The entire building is fenced in, and there are some open kennels that the dogs take turns in for out door playtime. There's a fenced in grassy lot for supervised play. The grooming job they did on my shaggy little Sheltie was outstanding.

It was nice. I was working in that area at that time so it was also convenient. Their price is in line with everybody else but it’s a lot. The only interaction was when I went in and dropped her off and that was all fine. They're very nice. The place is very clean.

I had used this service in December 2013 and all was very positive. In March 2014, I decided to ask for a different cut style and the groomer did as I asked but the cut was not as attractive as the previous cut style so the groomer volunteered to take $10.00 off the invoice because she was not pleased with the result. This was not the groomers fault, it was my fault because she only did what I instructed her to do. I was very impressed by the kindness and professionalism and will definitely take Sugar Bear back again soon. Highly Recommended.

Very well, as usual. We use them frequently, and once a year they have her for almost a month. I wouldn't use anyone else.

Hickory Acres is a great place for boarding for long or short periods. They give excellent care to my dog and I can rest assured that she is comfortable and loved while we are gone. Also, the groomers do a great job - professional, timely and the dogs love the groomers.

It went great. Christy, the manager, along with everyone I met on the staff, were courteous, pleasant, efficient, and good with my dogs. They didn't even mind that I called them several times while on vacation to inquire as to how my dogs were doing!

I visited the kennel with my dog prior to booking and was very impressed with the friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating staff. I arranged to kennel my dog for 2 weeks with them and added some play times. The staff was flexible to meet my dog's needs. When I picked him up his was happy and calm.

Great! We wouldn't take our dogs anywhere else. The workers are very friendly and compassionate. Our dogs run right to the groomer when she comes out to greet them and ask how we should groom them. They remember what has been done in the past and are open to any requests. I have no problems trusting the care of my dogs to them.

Ellie (my Golden Retriever) loves the staff and when she knows where she is going, she gets very excited and she always seems to be reluctant to leave. Kristy is always on top of her game when it comes to scheduling Ellie in for her stays and any special services that Ellie might require. They have taken excellent care of Ellie, providing her with food and exercise. Becky always does an excellent grooming job and Ellie know when she is looking good. We are very happy with Hickory and have been using the facilities for a total of about 15 years. They are good people.

Hickory Acres Kennel is always professional when it comes to caring for our Airedale. Becky is our groomer and our dog always looks wonderful after a grooming.She handles our fussy pet with ease. Our dog has a few behavioral issues, but everyone handles our dog beautifully. They go out of their way to work with us every time we board. They are able to accommodate our large dog with ease. Hickory Acres is always immaculate and careful to keep vaccination records updated, which I appreciate greatly. They are a wonderful crew!

Hickory acres make us feel that our dogs are the most important dogs there. They provide a very personable service, we don't think twice about leaving our dogs their. They know that most people think their dogs are apart of their family and that it isn't easy leaving leaving their dogs behind. They were genuinely sorry to hear that one of our previous dogs died. I feel very comfortable about leaving my dogs there, knowing that they are in professional hands.I will not be taking my dogs any where else.

They are awesome! One of our dogs is 7 and came from a rotten background. We had never boarded him before, but we knew he would be well taken care of at Hickory Acres. And he was! Our older female has been there several times and it's like a doggy vacation. Now our male has had a great experience as well. It is so nice to have them freshly groomed when we pick them up!

Our dog is a different breed and they know how to handle her. They are very conscientious about each dog's breed and their age. She's elderly and they're really good about not putting her next to rambunctious, younger dogs. They really spoil her. She loves to go there and hates to leave.

We left our dog with them when we went on a family vacation. Our daughter left her dog there too. She picked both dogs up 10 days later, both were very good shape. We were both happy with the service.

They have an outstanding service. They have reasonable price.

We have used Hickory Acres for boarding our dog since 1999. They always treated our dog with lots of love and care. As our dog aged, they took the time to provide the special attention and patience that older dogs require. I would never consider going anywhere else.

The cost to board our dog was reasonably priced. We additional money to have them spend extra time with him and give him a bath. I'm comfortable leaving him in their care. He always seems happy when I pick him up. I've used them for a couple of years and will continue to go back.

Everything is great there. It is clean and they are friendly. They do a great job grooming them. The dogs leave there looking great. They are very accommodating with scheduling. They treat all the dogs like they are their own. It is a family atmosphere at this facility.

They were terrific. They always do an amazing job and the staff is very friendly.

My dog was so delighted with the treatment that she didn't want to leave. They are very knowledgeable. The owner even noticed that my dog wasn't walking normally and took my dog to the vet. They did not charge me for the transportation service. My previous dogs have been nervous about being boarded. But my currrent dog is extremely excited when she crosses the threshold.

It went well. Our dogs had not been boarded since they were puppies, since we had been using pet sitters for the last nine years. The Hickory Acres staff did an excellent job taking care of our dogs while we were gone. They were very caring and professional, and let me provide my own dog bowl for one of my dogs, as well as toys and bedding. They use a premium dog food and my dogs had no digestive issues at all. They were healthy and happy when we picked them up to go home! The assistant manager was also very kind and patient with me, as I called to check on them every few days while we were away. These dogs are part of our family, and I felt like I could trust the Hickory Acres staff with them, and will not hesitate to use them again.

My husky dog, Bandit, lives outside. He had a thick undercoat with matted fur. The Hickory Acres groomer did a great job. She was courteous, respectful and friendly. She had a wonderful raport with my dog. She was sensitive and intuitive of my dog's personality, and handled him as if she already knew him. They did a thourogh job of clipping and cleaning. When I pocked up my dog I could tell he was not stressed. I will get Bandit groomed there every year.

Max was very happy whem we picked him up. We really liked the setting and the people we met there. It was clean and the other dog we saw seemed happy also. We liked it so much we signed him up for another weekend!
