With over 100 years in business, we are earning your trust. Founded in 1915, Plunkett’s Pest Control is a family-owned & operated company with third-generation ownership. Plunkett’s delivers professional pest control services to residential and commercial clients in 20 states and growing. Our entire staff is knowledgeable, trustworthy, resourceful, and passionate about preventing & solving pest concerns for our clients and safeguarding the communities we call home.

"Michael Lyday was the technician and was very professional and courteous. He set a trap and returned the next morning to find a female raccoon. He also found she’d been nursing and captured two kits in the crawl space. He told me to tell him if I heard anymore sounds which I did when he returned the following day. He captured two more kits and told me to call him again if I heard any more sounds. There weren’t any more and I was impressed that he still called to follow up. I was completely satisfied with his humane methods of removing the animals from my property."

"Mr. Burdge is a conscientious and pleasant gentleman who comes once a month from early Spring until late Summer. I have not been bothered by spiders since he started approximately six years ago. I find his rates of $54.00 a month quite reasonable and he has not increased them since he started. He simply sticks his bill to the garage door with a magnet and goes on to the next job. Thank you, Mr. Burdge—I’ll see you next spring!"

"Winston showed up VERY quickly! Took care of the problem and gave me a warning that the nest was "very aggressive" and I could see increased activity for a few hours. I'd already been stung once, so I stayed away! Thank you for taking care of it so quickly!"

Third generation working in the business. Oldest pest control business in the Fort Wayne area, with 10 employees. Summer Saver programs for April-October treatments at a discounted rate.

"I tried several of the highly rated services listed here, but Arab Pest Control were the only guys who actually showed up, and very promptly too. I got an estimate from another company first, and they never answered me again after I accepted their estimate. Anyway, the guy who came out was very nice, friendly, professional, patient, honest, and educated. He knew his stuff. After one application didn’t work, he came out again about a week later for a second application, and that did the trick. I doubt you’ll find a better price that what these guys will offer. Arab Pest Control’s estimate was less than half of the one I got from the company that never got back to me. Arab charged me 80 dollars altogether (2 visits). The other place quoted me at 220 dollars."

"5/5 stars from me..100% recommend. Had a mice issue at the house that was causing electrical issues. Contacted DeadOne about the issue and they prioritized my issue and came out to investigate within a few hours the same day! Donnie not only did a great job inspecting, but he took the time to explain to me everything he found in depth and even showed me for visualization. Donnie also provided me different options for how to fix each issue. After explaining everything, they were able to come out the very next day to begin services. Everyone I spoke with at this company was extremely professional and nice, and they seemed to truly care about the issue and getting it fixed. Donnie did not rush the service and did a great job with treating the interior and exterior of my home."

"We had a bald-faced hornet nest in our tree, that was larger than a basketball. I spoke with their office at 8:30am, and they were at my home at 10:30am to remove the hornet's nest. The gentleman in the office was honest, informative, and showed concern for the safety of my children. He not only took the time to explain the process of how the hornets and nest would be removed, but he told us what to do if we were stung by the hornets. The technician was prompt, professional, thorough, and fast! I didn't think twice about the price, because of the honesty from the office AND the risks the technicians were taking to help us out. It was well worth it, and I would HIGHLY recommend this company to others."

"We were very impressed with the service we received. Because there was siding missing from our home on the initial visit, Ryan (our technician) suggested that we complete the siding repairs before moving forward with the bird removal. He was concerned that the birds would move from the vents they were nesting in to the area where the siding was missing. He did not charge us for that visit. After the siding repairs were completed, Ryan came back out to remove and exclude the birds on one of the coldest days of this winter. He was polite and professional."

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

Most treatments take 1-3 hours, but severe infestations may require multiple visits.

A treatment from a pest control service can last anywhere from 3 to 6 months, depending on the type of treatment, what pest it’s treating, and what environment you live in. This is why pest control service companies often offer packages where they come out multiple times a year to apply treatment to the outside or inside of your home.

Some of the plants listed above, like daffodils, are poisonous to many animals if eaten. But wild animals instinctively avoid them, for the most part. Household pets don’t always have the same survival instinct, which is why it’s a good idea to familiarize yourself with common plants that pose a danger to cats and dogs.

Hanging wind chimes or motion-activated speakers near your home may be an effective way to deter woodpeckers, as sudden movement and sound often scare birds away. You could also try using reflective decorative items such as pinwheels or mirrors or placing decoys of large predatory birds in your yard. If these measures don’t deter the woodpeckers, you may need the help of a bird removal pro.

Keeping your pool cover clean is a good way to keep smaller animals from running across it or using it as shelter. Small animals may use leaf debris on top of the cover to hide. Cleaning also removes nuts that may fall from a nearby tree that could otherwise be a tempting snack for some animals, like squirrels.
