"Showed up on time and were very courteous and professional when speaking about the project. Snaked the main sewer drain, one toilet and replaced one toilet. When using a snake to unblock a toilet, they made quite a mess on the walls. Was never cleaned by them or told about it before they left. Found it after they finished the job. The toilet they installed runs after flushing. Have to constantly wiggle the handle after flushes."

"I called just after 7am in the Morning on Saturday. The owner of the business picked up my call & gave me a time he'd be available. Ivan gave me time to get verification that time would be good. When I called back I got both pricing and approximate duration for that type of service. Both were quite reasonable. He showed up, on time, prepared, and managed to fix the issue in less than 30 minutes - and said it's the worst grease blockage he's seen (and showed us the ick that was blocking the pipe). When we bought the property that drain was barely working - we didn't know the previous owner had poured grease down her kitchen drain; for years!"

"I was notified as they departed for our house and I instructed where the tank was located. This was great for me as I was running other errands before they arrived.  When I got home the operator was wrapping up.  We have a small tank by today's standards so it didn't take very long to pump.
The operator was very courteous and diligent in regards to cleaning up any spillage that is common in this process.  No worries.
This was the second time we've used them and they'll be on our list for years to come.
Ironically, one of my errand stops has used Max's for over 30 years and had recently had service performed at their house by the same driver that was heading to my residence.  That was an unexpected boost that we had chosen correctly!

"I was pleased my project could be completed the same day as request (cap off softener pipes in the garage). There was some question is this was possible and when which I needed to follow-up on. Techs arrived quickly and completed the project promptly, leaving the area neat and clean. Based on the seemingly simple and brief work, even after applying the HomeAdvisor offer, I was shocked at the high cost. I ended up using them a 2nd time to replace a water heater (during COVID). They worked with me to select a lower-cost water heater, which they picked up from the retailer instead of being forced to buy their more expensive unit. Installers wore masks as requested and did not enter the home. They have since joined a large plumbing **group** (ZPlumblers), but still gave me a local business card for the future. Will definitely use them again!"

"I have an old house with unique plumbing. Carl Benton and his team went beyond expectations to resolve my problems. They answered all my questions and left the area as clean as possible. Will call them for any future problems. Thanks."

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Common causes include hair buildup, soap residue, food particles, and foreign objects. Older pipes can also contribute by facilitating buildup more easily.

Plumbers use a variety of tools to help unclog the toughest of drain clogs, but the most common tools they use are drain snakes and augers. They try a plunger or drain snake to start, then move to heavy-duty augers, and finally try using a hydro jetter to blast away the clog with high-pressure water. Hiring a plumber to unclog a drain costs $125 to $300, largely depending on the extent and location of the clog and which of these methods is best for clearing it.

You should flush your AC drain line once every three months to keep it clear of debris and buildup. Keeping your AC drain line clean prevents clogs, backups, mold growth, and extra wear on your AC unit. If you live in a humid area or have several furry pets, up your cleaning schedule to once a month.

To unclog the drain pipe, remove the machine's drain hose from the pipe or sink drain, being careful to contain any water in it. Next, use a plunger for sink drains or a plumbing snake for a wall drain. Test the repair by pouring a small amount of water into the pipe before trying it with a laundry load.

Start by unscrewing the overflow valve, which is located on the wall of your tub between the floor drain and the tub spout. Gently insert a plumbing snake down into the pipe, move it back and forth, and pull it out. Remove any hair, debris, and soap scum that comes out with it. Repeat the process until the snake comes out clean, and then reinstall the cap on your overflow valve.
