Small jobs welcome

"They got the job done in good time and the result was what I wanted. They offered good advice and were very helpful along the way. The neighbors all approve of the results. The price was reasonable. I highly recommend them for any landscaping, tree work, and landscaping. They are pleasant to work with."

"I highly recommend Mike and his crew at Glorified Concrete! They helped transform our backyard by leveling part of the yard, building a retaining wall, and installing a ModuTile basketball court. From start to finish, Mike communicated with us every step of the way, keeping us updated on the progress each day. They even completed the entire project before my son’s birthday party, which meant a lot to our family. The workmanship was excellent, the crew was professional, and the finished project exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for quality work and great communication, Glorified Concrete is an outstanding choice!"

"If we could give Dimmett's Home Repair Service a higher grade than A, we would! Absolutely outstanding work and great customer service. They are very ethical, honest, professional and trustworthy. We had our bathroom, kitchen and our basement remodeled (and we added numerous other projects to the list when they were here). They worked with us on all of our requests. We live in an older house that had extensive water damaged over the years (much worst then anyone anticipated). Both Lee and Jason provided recommendations and solutions to everything that was needed. They finished the job nearly two weeks ahead of schedule and they came in under budget (which is an accomplishment in itself). We cannot Thank them enough for their honesty, their work ethic and the quality of work. We will using them again in remodeling the rest of our home. Without a doubt, we highly recommend Dimmett's Home Repair Service. Angela and Scott"

"?????????? 5/5 Stars True Grade Construction - Home Renovation, 2-Car Garage Addition, and Landscaping We recently hired True Grade Construction for a major home renovation project that included a 2-car garage addition, complete landscape overhaul, and the installation of a pond with a waterfall?and we couldn?t be more pleased with the results. From the start, the team was professional, responsive, and clearly experienced. The garage addition blends seamlessly with our existing home?inside and out. Their attention to detail, from the roofing to the siding to the interior finishes, was outstanding. It doesn?t feel like an addition?it feels like it?s always been there. The landscaping transformation completely redefined our outdoor space. They designed a beautiful, functional layout that enhances our curb appeal and gives us a serene backyard retreat. The highlight is without a doubt the custom pond and waterfall, which adds a peaceful ambiance we enjoy every day."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

When comparing installation costs, asphalt is often less expensive upfront than concrete. Asphalt prices typically range from $7 to $15 per square foot, while concrete can range from $3 to $18 per square foot. However, long-term costs should also be considered. Concrete driveways generally last longer (up to twice as long) and require less maintenance, which can make them more affordable over their lifespan. While asphalt has a lower installation cost and is easier to repair, it requires more frequent maintenance, such as sealing, which can add up over time. Therefore, while concrete is more expensive initially, its durability may offset the cost in the long run.

While blacktop is a type of asphalt, the terms should not be used interchangeably, as not all asphalt qualifies as blacktop. The primary differences are in their composition, production process, and ideal applications. Blacktop contains more stone than other types of asphalt and is heated to a higher temperature during production—300°F or more—while hot-mix asphalt is heated to between 275°F and 300°F. The ratio of bitumen (a tar-like crude oil) is a key differentiator, though sources vary: some state blacktop has less bitumen, making it less durable, while others claim it has a higher ratio. Due to these differences, asphalt is generally more durable and better for high-traffic areas like highways and streets, while blacktop is more suitable for playgrounds and residential driveways. For a driveway project, it is best to consult a professional to determine the most appropriate material.

Overall, a paver driveway is considered the easiest to maintain because homeowners are able to do driveway repair one piece at a time without impacting the rest of the driveway. Unlike paved options, paver driveways contain individual stones that aren't physically connected. By comparison, you may need to reseal or redo a full asphalt driveway if just one portion sustains a significant crack.

A driveway's lifespan varies by material. Asphalt driveways typically last 15 to 30 years, while concrete driveways last longer, between 20 and 50 years. The longevity of any driveway is affected by factors like extreme temperatures, heavy traffic, and the quality of maintenance. Regular upkeep, such as filling cracks, resealing the surface, and ensuring proper drainage, can help extend its life. For gravel driveways, regrading to fill in uneven areas every year or two is recommended.

Sometimes, when people talk about asphalt driveways, they’re actually referring to asphalt concrete, which is a completely different compound. Asphalt concrete is asphaltic cement combined with sand or grit. It is significantly more lasting and durable than regular asphalt but also much more expensive. If you’re considering using asphalt concrete, ask an asphalt company for their expert opinions.
