We do not manufacture windows or doors for homes nor do we use Insulated glass. Strafford Window Mfg. manufacturers custom wood windows for barns, sheds, stables, pool houses, cabin, porches and interior applications in the home. Our windows are made of all wood and single strength glass. Call for pricing on Tempered glass. Strafford Window MFG. manufactures Sashes, Transoms, Single Hung Window Units, Hopper Window Units, Fixed Window Units and Screens.

"These windows are solid, well built and look great. I will be ordering more for my house."

Home Building questions, answered by experts

Whether it’s more affordable to gut a house than build a new one depends on the markets where you'd be buying and selling. However, it’s usually less expensive to renovate a home than to build new construction.

Most homeowners pay between $100,000 and $200,000 for demolition and remodeling costs, whereas the average cost to build a new home is between $139,000 and $531,300.

Home additions can add significant value to a home by increasing its overall square footage and enhancing a home's functionality and appeal. Key additions such as extra bedrooms, bathrooms, or larger kitchens offer the highest returns on investment. Well-planned additions that seamlessly integrate with the existing structure and match the neighborhood's style can boost curb appeal and market value. However, the actual increase in value depends on the quality of the work, the types of additions, and the current real estate market conditions.

You can’t add home addition costs to an existing mortgage, but you can include them in a new mortgage if you take out a rehab loan. Rehab loans—FHA-backed 203k loans and conventional rehab loans—are for more than the value of a property, and the excess is meant to cover the cost of a renovation or home addition.

In the U.S., original and converted carriage houses are most often found in New England, New York, and other parts of the Northeast. New construction carriage houses can be found across the country, and are often added to properties with Colonial-style homes for additional living, storage, or work space, although they can be found in many different styles.

A 2,000-square-foot modular home costs an average of {AvgCost}, and most homeowners pay between {AvgRangeMinCost} and {AvgRangeMaxCost}, depending on the customization options you choose and the quality of materials. If you choose a more custom design and go all out with upgraded finishes, you could pay as much as $600,000.
