"I am happy with the job they did. Had an old driveway that needed grading and new gravel top. Also wanted the driveway extended. They showed up with a bobcat, a roller, a paving machine spreader, and a dump truck scraped and leveled the driveway and layed down crushed limestone which compacted well. Close to 800 feet of driveway and they finished same day. The paving machine layed the limestone down nice and even and firm. It was a lot better than dumping it from the tailgate of a dump truck. I felt the price he quoted was fair. They do blacktop paving too but I prefer a more permeable surface."

"I called global asphalt and paving in the a m for a price on removing and replacing the asphalt in my drive. He said that they got pulled off of another job and could do my drive that same day which really surprised me.They started about 10 and were done at about 4. They also did my neighbors drive at the same time. they did exactly what I asked them to do and did an excellent job."

"I highly recommend this company. You get personal customer service, and almost instant answers to your emails! I am 64 years old and work 2 jobs. I needed a complete lawn care company. I needed all of the following and Sky Lawn Pros do it all: Mowing/trimming Leaf blowing/raking Fertilizing Weed control Bush trimming Landscaping Snow removal I trust them to do a good job and I am astounded at how great the yard looks. They come during the day when I'm not there and I get to come home to a groomed lawn! They invoice you once at the end of the month, so there is no question as to what was done since they list the dates and what they did on the invoice. I have personally given out their information to 8 people so far because they are great at what they do. Their pricing is very competitive and I feel like they care about their customers. They have professional equipment and I don't have to supply anything! They always remove all grass clippings from my driveway and sidewalk before they leave. If the lawn doesn't need mowed - they don't mow...it's that simple. I trust them to keep my lawn looking the best it can be. Call them or email them for an estimate on YOUR lawn care."

Paving Services questions, answered by experts

You can pour concrete over asphalt if it’s in good condition, thick, stable, and well-compacted. Concrete is more durable than asphalt and can extend the lifetime of your driveway without having to pay frequent asphalt driveway repair costs or replace it completely.

But this is best reserved as a temporary solution based on budget restraints, as asphalt requires more frequent repairs and assessments than concrete. Once that concrete top is poured, it’ll be harder to accurately understand what’s happening beneath that layer, which could lead to more issues.

Pavers are a type of permeable hardscape that can be used for driveways, patios, walkways, and other landscaping features. Unlike poured concrete or asphalt, pavers typically have a layer of gravel underneath to prevent water runoff from damaging your property—though you can also lay pavers on grass. Because pavers are installed piece by piece, you can customize a one-of-a-kind hardscape that best suits your aesthetics, boosting your curb appeal along the way.

Outdoor kitchens get wet and are sometimes next to pools. To avoid accidents, go with a non-slip material like concrete, brick, or rubber. Avoid materials like ceramic and porcelain, as they are known to be quite slippery. Wood and composite flooring can be slippery if untreated, so make sure to stain or finish these materials.

A traditional driveway gate isn’t your only option when installing a barricade in front of your driveway. A security gate like a swing gate, double swing gate, bi-folding gate, vertical gate, or pivot gate could work just as well as your driveway gate—if not better for your home depending on which qualities you’re after. Like sliding driveway gates, many of these alternatives work with automatic features that simplify entering and exiting your property.

After removing existing moss, consider using paver blocking sand to fill the joints. This specialty material hardens once placed and serves as an effective barrier against moss and weeds. From there on, regularly clean your pavers and try to keep them dry. You can also seal your paver as a semi-permanent solution — just make sure you reseal every 3 to 5 years.
