"We are lifelong customers of S & P Outdoor Living! They laid a paver patio for us last year and it still looks like it's brand new. We recently had them add a French drain and dry well to our backyard. We had zero drainage in our backyard - it drove us nuts. Clay and his crew had the backyard done in less than a days work. We have had so much rain recently and our backyard is not a swamp! I would highly recommend."

"Sam and her team put sod down in a large section of our backyard. They did an excellent job of prepping the ground and laying the sod. In fact the area that they sodded is now the best looking part of our entire yard."

Small jobs welcome

"Michael and Logan were prompt, courteous, plus gave me some suggestions on how to set my pavers for the patio. They graded to back yard for a 1050 square foot patio and placed gravel and sand in the back. This only took 2 days for all the work. They cleaned up my drive way each night and took up their wooden sheets and stacked them in a pile. Right price and right people for the job. Don't wait! Call them now! "Brice helped install our back patio a couple years ago. He met with us, designed the project, and competed the work. He was helpful throughout the process and would recommend Brice to anyone needing work done."

Patios questions, answered by experts

A covered deck can be a good investment that increases your home value—especially if you live in a hot region with a lot of sun. A covering over the deck means you can get more use out of it, even on the hottest summer days. With a permanent deck covering, you can even add ceiling fans to help cool down your deck for added comfort.

A screened-in porch requires maintenance to keep the screens clean and in good shape, and you may have to do some screen repair or replacement from time to time. A screen porch isn’t an all-season porch, so the weather can get in, including wind and rain.

The least expensive way to enclose a porch is with screens. These protect the room by preventing insects from entering and, if you live in a warm climate, provide excellent airflow during hot summer months. Screens cost far less than any other alternative, so if you are against getting permits, spending too much, or enclosing your porch in walls or glass, screens are the best choice.

Yes, a screened-in porch will increase your property taxes because it has a foundation and is considered a permanent improvement to your land. The exact amount your taxes will go up depends on the value of your existing home, the value added by the screened-in porch, the size of the structure, your location, and more.

In most cases, you can attach a greenhouse to any type of house. However, certain factors need to be considered, such as the structural integrity of the house, available space, and local building regulations. You should consult with a professional contractor or architect to assess the feasibility and ensure proper construction methods.
