"For anybody out there please stay away from this customer. Everything they’re saying here is a complete lie. They contacted me in late February to remove the boards for the siding so that the siding guys could get back there and I did so then two months went by with no contact they did not let me know anything and then out of the blue they contacted me and wanted it re-done I showed back up to redo it and you can even see from their photo there is a 3 inch gap in between the house and the deck. There was a ledger board there that had rotten out and that needs to be re-framed and also the siding is now sitting back farther so all the old boards that I removed were no longer work as it’s now A bigger opening. I let them know that they should get a deck contractor to come out there and reframe that part and put the new boards in and then I would come back and power wash everything up and seal it. That was not good enough because my name is deck pro I am presuming we supposed to build decks and do everything but that is not what I do. We do small deck repairs and as that is structural I do not do structural repairs. So they are upset with me because their deck has rotted out and somehow that is my fault because the boards will not go back in place. And in the picture you can see the nail sticking up that I pounded back so that it’s the top of the heads not the pointy end so it won’t damage anybody and I like put them down so they would not have to walk in the hole. Again customer is just leaving a bad review because they are upset because I won’t fix something that is not my fault and that I don’t do"
"Thank you. Always appreciate the business"
"Not exactly sure what this customer is talking about. I went out there on the estimate on 6/15 and the deck was completely painted and peeling everywhere. I told him we only do semi transparent and unfortunately it would have to be completely sanded down to bare wood to put a semi transparent on it and there was nothing we could do for them. I have a copy of the email that I emailed him on 6/16 that shows that exact thing. So I’m not sure what he is talking about not being honest with him. Do not understand why people are allowed to leave an F over an estimate or over not be able to do the job due to the deck being in too bad of a shape. Also I just tried to put a copy of the email to prove that I was communicating with customer but it won’t allow me. I just don’t understand why this was almost 3 months ago and it’s like people just don’t have anything better to do they get upset because I couldn’t do an estimate for them. None of this is making any sense anymore"
"Not completely understanding why I have a review here or an F. I went out there the first time to do the estimate rang the doorbell and no one answered so I wanna head and went around to the backyard and the dogs were out. No big deal it’s happened before I emailed the customer and let him know that I will try again tomorrow he said OK so I went back out the next day same thing. I emailed the customer again to let them know that the dogs are out again and then I would have to try sometime next week and never heard anything back. Also I never got a phone call from customer at all as we have only communicated through email. And for another point this actually was about two months ago and I haven’t heard anything first since then and I happen to get up this morning and look and I get an F for not doing an estimate when it was the customer who left the dogs out and I couldn’t get in the backyard to do the estimate. Really doesn’t make any sense. Again. Never got a phone call or voicemail. When customer wanted the estimate all the information I had was a email, no phone number. So there was no way to call customer. Bottom line is we did contact each other and I came out the day and time I said I was going to , rang the doorbell no one answered. I then went to the the. back yard and the dogs where out and would not let me into the back yard. I could not do the estimate. Customer is upset for some reason and not telling the whole truth. All because I couldn’t get in the back yard on do the free estimate. Have a great day"
"The customer is correct we had to cancel the job. I came out and gave the estimate. I did notice the previous stain job was peeling in some areas and we had to do some sanding to smooth out the painted peeling areas. When we came out to power wash and clean up the deck the previous solid stain was coming up in sheets. Meaning the last time it was cleaned and stained they did not clean the deck but instead just painted over the dirt ect. So the entire deck was then needed to be sanded to bare wood witch was not part of the estimate nor would I have any idea until we started to wash it. Also just for FYI I have never came across this in 17 years of business. The color choice doesn’t really have anything to do with this as we could have put any color on it just would take multiple coats to cover up the bare wood. Long story short it would have cost less to rebuild the deck than to spend a week sanding on it. So we did not charge for the power washing or anything. The cost would have been outrageous and I will not do that to the customers. I am even more disappointed that we could not turn this into a beautiful deck again but there was just to much dirt ect under the old paint. I am not sure why being out of town has any wieght in this but I was with my family and did not answer the phone but I did contact the customer immediately through email and text."
