"Warning! Avoid this company at all costs!!!! Realtor hired them to do a whole list of things. They did one thing on the list, remove insulation from floor joist. They were supposed to remove debris from crawl space, lay vapor barrier, fix ducting, place floor jacks with concrete footers in one area of home - needless to say, they removed the insulation. They place black plastic down for vapor barrier (supposed to be clear so you can see and detect water, duh) and not with 6" overlap and seal with 6" along exterior walls, they ripped every duct line they attempted to hang, placed a rubber 'Y' piece in to fix tub drain line - every time you ran water in tub it would kink and back up into tub, they cut original floor support boards about an inch-inch and half and placed concrete paver under them and then door shims to hold in place, needless to say 4 of them were not even touching the paver - never placed a floor jack like they were supposed to. Within the last year, Bruce has reimbursed 1% of what they were paid to do. He lies. He avoids any conversation or communication to figure out what's going on.. Avoid this company!!!!!"

At My Guy Services, we seal concrete and provide exterior pressure washing services . It's what we do and we're really good at it. So why spend the time you could use honing your own skills doing something as mundane as power washing and exterior cleaning? Let us give you the freedom to enjoy your time and spend it with the ones that mean the most, family and friends.

"We had My Guy Services come out to repair/ fill cracks in our driveway in spring of 2024. This winter many of the areas repaired did not last. The owner has no corrective response or solution. The photos show a few of the affected areas."

"He was very good about keeping me informed re: his progress while cleaning our house. Our house definitely looked cleaner and I'm grateful that since this was the first time it's been cleaned, that it went so well. I would definitely hire Jared Duncan again. Am thinking VI may try to save up for a driveway wash. Our wood picket fence had a lot of mold and needed painting. Since it's been washed, I think we can skip painting this year."

Cowboy's Consolidated Services (C.C.S.) in Martinsville, Indiana services all of Central Indiana's home and business General Contracting needs. We are a local, family & disabled veteran owned & operated business. We believe in top quality work and 100% customer satisfaction. Top quality. To some that sounds expensive. But, it doesn't have to be, as founder Mike Lyle realized in 2008. He noticed that every construction service he worked for was always up charging materials and cutting corners. Profit was #1. He realized that this was not the way to go, so he struck out on his own. He determined the job was going to be done right, by qualified pros, at a fair price. So that's exactly what we do, from electrical & plumbing service charges (often 20% less than competitors) to not charging a penny more than we pay for materials. Our pros are drug screened & background checked, have verified experience or participate in a structured apprenticeship which includes classroom and on the job training. All our pros (including our office staff) take continuing education courses for their trade. We are affiliated with the PDCA (Painting & Decorating Contractors of America, NAHB (National Association of Home Builders) and others. We are insured and licensed, and we can provide as many references as you need. We back our work by conducting a walk through of the finished project with each client prior to final payment, for painting & coatings we have a 30 day free touch up and we warranty the labor on each project which is transferable. Your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed. We offer seasonal specials as well as our year round senior, public safety, and military/veteran discounts.

"He never shows up at the time he states. When he leaves for supplies it can take hours for him to return and blames it on other people at the store. Fails to provide receipts to show actual amount spent on materials. Constantly ask for money for gas. When you point out things that he did that needs corrected he states such and such is the reason it’s that way; for instance he repaired part of the floor by my door cut the bored crooked and said it was the way my floor tiles were that made it look that way, that was not the case. He also drinks on the job. My doors are not in straight, pointed out and he said they were straight. The ramp on my deck need more support and he told me he would do it but did not. He also needed an extra beam on the ramp hand rail but said it did not need it. I told him not to come back and my husband and brother are having to fix his mess ups. I know we over paid him for materials; my husband works at Lowe’s (where he bought the stuff) and knows how much all of it would cost."

Mold remediation and water damage services

"Our house is 20 years old with original sump pump that still works. We also have a batter back-up sump pump. After days of rain our sump pump worked continuously. It appears the discharge pipe worked its way loose from continuously running sump pump motor and water discharged into our basement instead of outside. Called them in the afternoon and Brad came out at 7:30 AM the next morning. We had repaired the problem ourselves so water drained immediately but left sopping wet carpet and laminate flooring. He canceled his meeting that was scheduled that morning and started work immediately. Within a couple of hours, they removed flooring, baseboards, moved items away from walls for air circulation, set up industrial fans and dehumidifier. They were very efficient and all crew members were friendly, helpful, and professional. They taped all the cords for the power equipment to the walls using painters tape so that our puppy would not be able to chew on them. After three days, the basement was very dry, they removed the equipment, and nothing was damaged from the dry-out. Price was reasonable at $3200. I was surprised that in this line of business the contractors do not give concrete estimates- perhaps because they can find unanticipated problems in doing the repair work? They indicated they do the dry-out, but not the put back together part or restoration. Some companies do one part and some companies do both. I was satisfied to hire them to do this part of the work because I felt that the scope of their work was more easily defined and was confident they would perform the work within his rough estimate. The only thing that was not done that I would have liked them to do was to remove the rusty carpet tacks because it will take some time for the other contractor to start their work and I feel the rusty nails present a safety issue. Of note is that we learned of sensors within the sump pump that that can be put in the well and also the floor of your basement that will emit an alarm if water raises to a certain point. They are inexpensive and we plan on buying some for both areas. If we had water problems again, we would definitely hire this company."

FAQs for mold testing and remediation projects in Indianapolis, IN

Some states require mold removal specialists to be licensed, while others require licensed mold testing companies to create remediation protocols that any contractor can carry out. You can use our state licensing tool to find requirements in your area. In either case, it’s imperative that you hire an experienced professional for mold removal to ensure the safety of your home and your family.

It’s possible to scrub mold off of visible surfaces yourself, but it’s not usually a good idea. Mold is not only a potential health risk, but it’s also difficult to treat in its entirety, especially because it can grow behind walls and in other hidden areas a DIYer might miss. Since mold is a serious and often pervasive issue, you should hire a professional that will remove all of the mold—including any that might be hidden—run industrial air scrubbers to remove airborne particles, and complete mold testing to ensure the underlying problem is solved.

The most effective way to remove mold includes testing affected surfaces and the air for spores, creating a protocol for removal, carrying out the steps within the protocol, running air scrubbers for the recommended amount of time, and then completing a post-remediation round of testing to confirm the issue is solved. Since this work is very involved and there are health risks if done incorrectly, you should always hire an experienced professional to handle mold removal.

The average cost for mold remediation is around $2,200, and most projects fall somewhere between $1,100 and $3,300. Your total will depend on many factors, including the surface area that is affected by mold, the extent of the issue, how much building material your professional needs to replace, whether or not testing is necessary for safety reasons, and existing indoor air quality.

Mold removal will take between one and five days in most cases, but severe mold issues can take several weeks to correct. Your timeline will depend on how much mold there is in your home, where the mold is located, and how much testing and aftercare is required. If you have mold behind your walls or you have an excessive amount of mold that requires removal and running air scrubbers for several days, you could be looking at over a week for the process to be completed.
