"Sam and his crew were outstanding from start to finish! Sam's son, Lavern, was great on keeping us informed along the way. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to do an addition to their home. They also did a great job on reroofing entire home. The new garage addituon looks like it was built when the house was originally built. Great quality work and attention to detail! Outstanding job and a job well done!!!!!"

"After several estimates, we decided to retain Alan Fleek for our home project, a four-season room. It was an excellent decision. From the beginning to the end of the project, he was always responsive, professional and courteous. All members of his team, including framing, electrical and HVAC, were equally excellent, and responsive. Alan remained engaged, and available throughout the build, always willing to do extra for us. As good a contractor as he is, he's also just good folk. All this service at a great value. We are very pleased with the result. I am writing this review from our wonderful new room, and I can easily say, your first call for all your home improvement projects should be to Alan Fleek. You won't be disappointed."

"The job turned out beautiful! We went with a deep shake siding to replace the stucco. The suggested color was perfect. i am so happy we went with siding. Now it is maintenance free. The best part----they did a great job cleaning up afterward."

Siding questions, answered by experts

Vines can cause severe damage to your siding. They can grow underneath and all around siding, which can cause it to pop off or split. Vines also trap moisture, which can damage siding by causing rot. The cost to replace siding may make you consider getting rid of the ivy or adding a trellis or lattice support for it to grow on instead.

The most significant benefit to mixing siding styles is the visual appeal and intrigue you can create. Multiple colors or textures will make your home stand out, boosting curb appeal and home value. Mixing siding styles also lets you take advantage of the high resale value of stone without having to pay the high cost of covering your entire home with it. Coupling stone and vinyl means pairing affordability and value. Plus, you’ll often only have to pay for a partial siding replacement when it comes time to replace one of the materials.

Yes, vinyl siding can be installed over existing materials in some cases, assuming the underlying structure is sound and the installation will not cause moisture issues.

Stucco is considered a type of cladding because it includes a built-in ventilation layer, a weatherproof membrane beneath that, and, often, a layer of insulation to improve building efficiency. The multiple layers of stucco—the scratch coat, the brown coat, and the finish coat—also create a more complex building membrane, so it’s more accurate to call it cladding. However, homeowners and contractors alike refer to stucco as siding.

Yes, the thickness of siding is an important factor to consider when replacing it. Siding thickness helps to determine how your home retains and redirects heat. While thicker siding has a premium price, it offers greater strength and durability, stronger insulation, better wind and weather resistance, increased rigidity, and better soundproofing.
