When he first arrived to survey the house and deck to prepare a bid, he mentioned several other things he saw that needed repair work....tighten-up the deck rail, caulk around the windows, the outdoor wooden furniture that needed staining, power washing the basement walk-up stairs..... He didn't mention these things to get more money....he mentioned them because he sincerely wanted to keep up the maintenance we were seeking. He told me his crew was going to be here with all the right equipment so they could get to these items at no extra charge. Well, I knew right away that Darryl is a good man. An honest, Christian man. His bid came by email a few days later and we were happy with the price. Bobbi was great to work with. She responded to my emails and phone calls quickly and had answers to my questions....they accept credit cards which is flexibility you don't often find with service providers. Then Anthony and his crew show up early and work until dark. Quality work....house wash-down, caulking, sanding, fixing nail pops, painting the trim, porch, doors, shutters, garage doors...staining the deck, the yard furniture...good young guys who seemed to enjoy working together. They not only did great work, they polite and very respectful of their customers. Anthony walked us around the house before they started, to let us know what they were going to do. After completed, he walked us around the house and showed us what they did. He explained that if we see something they missed to just call and they would return to get it right. Darryl and Bobbi went out of their way to communicate with us. We always knew they were coming before they got here. We knew how long the job would take....they did a fantastic job. I would recommend Dadstasks to everyone. They are nice, hard working people that we enjoyed knowing. We will use them again for interior painting

"We had an excellent experience with Jim Carver and Sons. Replaced shower, tub, vanity, toilet topper, lights, some electrical, and plumbing fixtures. The designer, Brian, was great - listened to our ideas, not pushy, budget sensitive, and came up with great suggestions that led to a bathroom design that is just what we wanted. Installation work was very professional. Contractor, Cameron, had the integrity to let us know if a part came with a scratch or dent (instead of covering it up) and replaced items. He also took the time to precisely select and layout the patterned tile. Carver assembles all items for the job before starting which really helps to move the job along. We had Carver also order all items for the job which simplified things as well. They have a range of suppliers so we could get the materials we wanted. We also had this job done during COVID. Contractor took multiple precautions (sealed off work area, wore masks, ran vent fan, opened windows) and no one got sick. They cleaned up the work area every day and laid cloth or plastic protective coverings on carpets and stairs. Good communication (e-mail and phone), stayed in touch, and someone at the business location always answers the phone.

"Kim was fantastic! She made a few different trips to our home. First, to give me ideas for window treatments; different styles to go in different rooms. She asked many questions to determine purpose for the window treatments; aesthetics and/or function.
<br /> She returned to obtain window measurements and to show us numerous styles and fabric designs. The cost was a bit pricey, so we opted to go with 2 instead of 3 rooms. Our living room felt cavernous and cold, so we choose drapes for their aesthetic improvement, to soften and frame the huge wall of windows. In the kitchen, we choose a valence to block the evening sun which blinded us when we sat at the kitchen table for dinner. She helped us find a fabric that matched the oriental carpets in both rooms.
<br /> It took a couple of months before they were ready for installation. but I understood because they were a custom design. When she returned for the installation, she was accompanied by a professional hanger who put them up in a jiffy. They look amazing and change the whole look of the rooms. He replaced the undersink water filter for me; changed out a doorknob; tightened the towel racks in the bathrooms as well as changing the showerheads in both; installed door stop magnets; replaced the light fixtures in my curio cabinet; added a shelf to the closet in my office. "This is an outstanding family-owned company in the Cincinnati area, providing various options for window and door coverings. The Dad and Son from this company recently installed Hunter Douglas "true white" 3 1/2 inch louver shutters on all my windows and patio door. Both men were professional, worked together as a team, carefully, and were detail-oriented in every aspect of this project.

I knew I wanted shutters, before our meeting----my favorite window covering. I'm enjoying the versatility, beauty, easy care, and simple operation that make shutters such a nice option. I have various choices for light coming into the home, by having a divider rail within the shutters to separate the top section of louvers from the lower section, allowing these sections to be opened or closed separately. A simple turn, by hand, of just one louver in the top or lower sections, turns all the louvers in that section. Louvers closed completely add some insulating to the glass. Outdoor sound is reduced, and room darkening at nighttime, is welcome, also.
I chose shutters on a track for my patio door and they are easy to operate. They also add a prettier look to a plain slider door and have the same versatility as the windows.
