"It went well. Tech arrived on time and was friendly and professional. Changed lock and made 3 extra keys (2 are included). Charges were $75 for call, $50 for labor, $20 to change 2 cylinders and $6.00 for 3 extra keys. Total with tax $161.60. I forgot to ask for my senior discount but the page says they offer 10%. It did seem a bit pricey to me but I wanted it done today and didn't have lots of time to shop around so I counted on Angie's List ratings to be valid!"

We had cameras and an alarm system installed; it was a relatively large system. They outsource most of the work to various vendors. They could not manage their vendors; what was supposed to take a week took two months. The sales rep did not return calls, and you could never get anyone in management on the phone. Random people would show up at unannounced times. The few things that an actual Guardian employee did were they made a huge mess of our newly remodeled office and were rude to our staff. We have offices in five markets across the US and have high security at each; we have never had such a poor experience."

"It was necessary to install a second set of windows for three of the five replacements, Aaron who works for Xenia Glass and Lock checked all the windows the day after the installation and took videos and photos of the windows in question. His work indicated that three of the five window were defective. The young men , Kolton and Hunter Fox completed the project for Xenia Glass and Lock by replacing the ones that were not working properly. Kolton was helpful by explaining how to open/close and clean the windows. He was also helpful in the adjusting blinds for me. "

There are many types of deadbolts, but these tips work on most. First, address any grime buildup. A bit of WD-40 will loose up rust and dirt so the deadbolt can turn. Inspect the door and frame alignment if this doesn't resolve the issue. Adjust the strike plate or the deadbolt's position to improve alignment. The most secure lock for a front door is typically a deadbolt. There are many types of deadbolts to choose from, the most basic of which is the standard single-cylinder deadbolt. This is the lock you find installed on most front doors. For added security, you could go with a double-cylinder deadbolt, which requires a key to operate the lock from both the outside and the inside. 

First, maintain composure and avoid forcing it further. Inspect the key to see if enough material remains exposed for extraction. Use pliers or tweezers to grasp and gently pull out the broken piece if possible. Lubricate the keyhole with a graphite-based spray to aid removal. If self-removal proves challenging or risks damaging the lock, seek a professional locksmith's assistance. They possess the necessary tools and expertise to extract the key without causing damage.

It depends on the quality of the keyless lock and usage, but in general, you can expect a keyless lock to last around three to five years. The batteries typically last around six to 12 months. The good news is most keyless locks include a low battery indicator so you can receive ample warning if your battery is about to die.

Keyless locks are often considered safer since they’re protected by passcodes instead of a physical key, making it harder to be picked. However, they are not infallible. And like all electronic devices, outdated models are more prone to problems and safety concerns.
