"eh... it was disappointing overall.  I have four fire places and I purchased the AL special for a chimney cleaning.  I had wrongly assumed that the two fireplaces that were stacked would have the same flue, but he informed me that this was not the case.  He started cleaning the downstairs chimney, but then informed me that there was a blockage, and that the chimney couldn't be fully cleaned, but that is didn't matter anyway because this chimney would "never be usable because it wasn't up to code" and "wasn't even intended to burn wood."  (he did say that he could name several other providers who would tell me differently, but he wasn't one of them--he's apparently some kind of firefighter or something too)
It would have be nice for him to give me that assessment BEFORE he started getting coal and soot all over my house.  I suggested that he clean another chimney instead but he said it would cost the price of another voucher.  He also tried to sell me a $2,000+ gas stove or told me that my alternative was a $40,000 chimney restoration.
In the ended I ended up paying for a partially cleaned chimney that didn't even matter if it was swept, and the soot that continued to dislodge itself in the ensuing weeks stained my carpets and made a mess.   overall, it was a very disappointing and frustrating experience.
