Sprinklers Plus will repair or add onto your existing system, our experienced service technicians are able to make repairs to any brand of irrigation system.

"Terrible service. Used them for a few years and they would constantly give me the run around on stuff and would take forever to get in touch with me. Would constantly send me bills with no way to pay them for it and then call me and tell me I was late on paying them. Had several leaks in my lawn irrigation system and tried to have them fix it, only for them to come out four different times and NOT fix it but still charge me for every time they came out. Turned part of my yard into a swamp because of this and had to completely reseed it. Then had them do the shutoff and winterization service last fall, only to find out this spring that they didn’t do it correctly and now part of my system is now busted because of it getting frozen over the winter. I now have to have my back flow regulator section completely replaced because of THEIR laziness and screw ups. DO NOT go with this service for your lawn irrigation needs. You’ll end up spending more money than you should for late, lazy, and careless service."

Lawn Irrigation questions, answered by experts

Professional equipment adapts to different terrains, ensuring thorough aeration across all lawn areas.

Several signs indicate that your lawn may require aeration. If you notice water pooling or runoff after rainfall, it suggests poor water infiltration, and aeration could help. Compacted soil may cause grass to thin out, turn yellow, or struggle to grow. Additionally, the presence of a thatch layer, which is a buildup of dead grass and debris, can indicate aeration is needed to alleviate thatch and promote healthier grass growth. Monitoring these signs can help you determine when your lawn would benefit from aeration.

Lawn aerators range in cost depending on what type of aerator you’re purchasing. For example, a manual spike aerator might cost as little as $25, while a motorized core aerator will likely cost more than $1,000. Fortunately, these expensive pieces of equipment can be easily rented from many vendors for far less money.

Almost all lawns can benefit from aeration, but not all lawns need aeration services. If your lawn has puddles of standing water, uneven grass growth, thinning grass, dries out quickly, or has a good amount of thatch, aeration is worthwhile. On the other hand, if your lawn is healthy and your soil isn’t too compact, you may be able to skip a year of aeration.

Before you put down grass seed, you should cultivate your soil or add two inches of topsoil. You should also put down fertilizer at the same time as your seed to prompt healthy growth. Be sure to water after you put down grass seed, especially for the first two weeks.
