"This is only a limited summary. Buyer, especially seniors, BEWARE! Average product, but very poor installation quality and workmanship. BCI-BathPlanet of Indianapolis arrived an hour late without calling, and no return calls from the office, sales rep., or service manager. They damaged three areas of an adjoining wall into another room using a Sawzall. And, they left without telling me. I had to cleanup the paint and drywall debris. The next day they arrived, and I showed they the damage. They admitted they damaged the wall using the Sawzall. I withheld $500 of my payment. It should have been at least $4,000. They promised the following business day, a Monday, they would have someone call to make the repair that day, but they did not show and did not call. When I called their Customer Service, BCI-BathPlanet would not return my calls total of about 20 times. I had to stop by their office twice but they claimed "there was nothing they could do" to make the service manager return calls. They refused to have the owner call me. Our sales rep. used deceptive sales practices by claiming to be a part-owner. The office told me he was not a part owner. When I visited the office they said I could only talk with the service manager. Shower shelves fell off the walls. Caulking was very poor. After almost three months they finally attempted to make some initial repairs. So.e were satisfactory, but others were so bad I had them remove parts of the decorative trim because they said "it was the best they could do"."

From log to final form wood working. Portable sawmill service that can come to your home and process logs to lumber. I have 15+ years professional woodworking background and a full service woodworking shop. I build furniture, cabinets, and even acoustic instruments from locally processed lumber cut on my own sawmill. I believe honesty, professional counsel, and integrity in work ethic is necessary for accomplishing a task effectively. I have been satisfying customers for years with this simple model and philosophy: "If I wouldn't put it in my house, it shouldn't go in yours." Whether it be log processing to lumber, professional woodworking services, or the full "Log to final form" experience, I am here to help serve your needs. Thanks!

"I call him the wood working Jedi. We were building a sports bar and there was a lot of detailed woodwork. We would bring him the wood and he would cut it to the dimensions we needed. I was very happy with his services and he completed everything as requested."

"If you love your country or have any respect for the people who fought for it, do not support this Military hating company and owner. His name is John Tomsich and i used to come in and buy slabs off him and send customers his way when i didnt have time to do the job. He has repeatedly bashed the military as a whole and even attacked and belittled me and my service. I was medically retired after 6 years active duty air force service and according to John, i may as well be on welfare. Im Going to Post some screenshots but if you have any respect for this great nations armed forces, choose somewhere else go get your custom woodworking. Very disappointing that someone who calls themself a republican and a man of god would attack me and my military service. 22 veterans commit suicide a day, and Mr. Tomsich has made fun of my PTSD as you can see, absolutely no class. So sad and disgusting."

Cabinet Contractors questions, answered by experts

There are some tips when hiring a cabinet installer that’ll help prepare you to create a new space. When installing new cabinets, keep the following in mind:

  • Hire the same cabinet installer professional to measure, design, and install the cabinets, as opposed to jumping between companies.

  • Discuss what types of cabinets the installer offers, including stock, semi-custom, and custom, to give yourself options.

  • Discuss financing options with your installer, as this project can be expensive depending on your chosen cabinets.

  • Discuss your cabinet installer’s prior experience, including asking for photos of previous projects.

Yes, most installations include warranties for materials and labor. Confirm details with your contractor.

It is cheaper to paint kitchen cabinets than to replace them. Painting costs range from $400 to $1,300, based on the size and complexity of the project and the average costs in your area. In contrast, replacing kitchen cabinets can cost several thousand dollars, including materials, installation, and potential modifications to countertops and plumbing.

As a homeowner, there are a few things you can do to prepare for your cabinet installer. Once the cabinets are ready for your home, you can do the following:

  • Ensure pets are safely in another room, out of the way of open doors and large moving objects.

  • Clear countertops for removal.

  • Tidy the floor the installers will walk through and around.

  • Prepare to have the installers in your home for the entire day, for multiple days, until the project is done. Expect to have a noisy environment, especially if they will remove old, existing cabinets.

In a kitchen installation, starting with the foundation and structural elements before moving on to the finishing touches is essential. Framing, plumbing, and utilities should go first, followed by cabinetry and countertops, then plumbing fixtures and new appliances. Flooring, paint, tile backsplashes, and similar finishing touches should get installed last.
