"Excellent service, very fast response to my request for service, picked up laptop, diagnosed issues. Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. I would recommend this company to my family./friends and will use again."

"I’ve had others look at the furnace with the same problem coming up again soon after. Super Heating and Cooling came out the day I called them. Fixed the problem and his bill was very reasonable. He was courteous, answered my questions and his work fixed the problem. I won’t be calling anyone else for my hearing and cooling needs."

"I received prompt service when setting up my appointment. Gentleman came promptly at time specified and gave a thorough estimate on what it would cost for system to be fixed. "We had a severe ice storm and we were watching the temperatures plunged and our furnace stopped working. They came out and the guy settled with our furnace and was not able to fix it. He said that he needed a part and he left and 10 minutes after he left the power went off and it was off for 3 days. They kept in touch with us through that time. Of course it was cold and they got the part but they couldn't put it in until the power came back on because they needed it. That was Tuesday evening that they left and Thursday at 3 o'clock our power came on and they came that night and were there for 3 hours working on it because they had to work on a lot of different things. They completed the work but there was one part that they didn't have and it was not essential except it was a safety issue. They went ahead fired the furnace up because we needed it to keep our pipes from freezing. They called back with the part a week later and came back out. I believe they did excellent work. Also while he was there out sump pump had stopped working and it started melting the sump pump in the basement. Their technician, the way he put it was talked to it with a hammer and it came back on. Both the primary technician and his supervisor; the supervisor actually came out because they were having difficulties. We have an old house and the furniture isn't as old but it has been flooded twice and there were multiple possibilities and issues plus before the furnace went out we had had a plastic burning smell in one of our bedrooms so we were concerned about that. They were very professional, caring and very careful to give us amounts. I believe they did their best and were concerned of course about the weather and our situation. They were dependable and persistent and went out of their way in difficult situation to help us out. I think they under charged us inadvertently and it was a very stressful time. Possibly we got more than we even bargained for. For their sake I wouldn?t tell people to look for that."

Humidifier Repair questions, answered by experts

Whole-house humidifiers can damage your furnace if a problem with the water supply happens. To avoid mechanical trouble, maintain your humidifier by keeping the filter clean and the drain line clear.

Ideal humidity conditions generally range from 30% to 50%, with 45% considered optimal humidity for most homes. If your humidity levels drop below that range, you can turn your dehumidifier off. Additionally, suppose the temperature where the dehumidifier is installed falls below 60 degrees Fahrenheit. In that case, it's best to turn it off and unplug it since cooler temperatures can cause the unit's coils to freeze.

Several styles of HVAC dampers exist, some with motors and some without. The various types include butterfly, blade, louvered, guillotine, and more. The names describe their construction style and how air moves through them. Motorized versions work through wiring connected to a control panel within the HVAC system. Manual versions allow an operator to decide which way to send the airflow and make the adjustment by hand.

One handy thing about whole-house dehumidifiers is, once installed, you don’t have to worry about placement or changing the dehumidifier’s position. But if you are using a portable dehumidifier, we suggest keeping it away from walls, vents, and furniture. It needs a central, unobstructed spot with access to lots of air to do its job.

A whole-house humidifier can positively impact energy consumption by improving heating efficiency. During colder months, humidified air feels warmer, which allows you to lower your thermostat without sacrificing comfort. This adjustment can lead to significant energy savings as your heating system works more efficiently. However, it's important to use the humidifier judiciously, as excessive humidity could potentially strain your cooling system in warmer months.
