Small jobs welcome

"Lockhart Electric has done several projects for me. Everything from replacing switches and fixtures to upgrading my breaker panel. They are always so helpful and knowledgeable. The prices are always fair, and they always give me options to help me make the best decisions depending on my need and my budget. I trust them with my home and I wouldn't call anyone else."

"Bart Hamilton was very professional. He submitted a written estimate to me, unlike my other two estimates. He answered questions promptly and courteously. Work was completed in a timely manner. Finally, and certainly not least, Hamilton Lightning presented the best value for a complete system. I highly recommend this company."

"WB Lightning Rods did an excellent job installing lightening rods on our home. The owner stayed onsite the entire time to supervise the work. He took extra care to plan the rod and cable placement to ensure the proper protection and retain the aesthetics of our home. His crew were knowledgeable, polite, neat and efficient. We could not be more pleased with the results."

"It was pretty rocky. At first. Several appoints made by Tri-State no one ever showed up.Crew showed up to install the Generator before the site survey and did not have necessary equipment or cooperation of Electric or gas company nor call before you dig had been notified. I called Tri-State to warn them the call before dig had never been preformed. They said they'd take care of it, did not happen until right before installation crew came back the second time. The first time they were here they could not have installed the generator even had they had all the parts because none of the utilities had been marked. Finally after about three months the Generac was installed and working. I had several questions that I could never get answered by calling Tri-State. One of the installation team had to come back a couple of weeks later to replace a damaged part and he answered all my questions. The guys who installed the Generac were great, the problem is your guys operation center and call center as far as I can see do not communicate very well. Anyway the generator has worked fine in several power outages this spring. I am happy right now but I live in dread something goes wrong and I have to call Tri-State for help."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Brazil, replacing outlets or light fixtures typically takes a few hours, while installing new circuits or outdoor lighting may require one to two days. Larger projects, such as panel upgrades or rewiring older homes, often take several days, especially if inspections or weather delays occur. Rural areas near Brazil might experience longer wait times for materials, so scheduling with local professionals is recommended for timely completion.

Helpful?

In Brazil, smart home upgrades like integrated lighting controls and programmable thermostats are increasingly popular for energy efficiency and convenience. Homeowners often choose LED lighting for lower utility bills and longer lifespan. Adding USB charging outlets in living spaces and kitchens is a common request. Outdoor security lighting and landscape illumination are trending, especially for enhancing curb appeal and safety in Brazil’s residential neighborhoods.

Helpful?

In Brazil, you can safely reset a tripped breaker or replace a blown fuse after turning off the main power. Testing outlets with a plug-in tester is helpful, especially in older homes. If you notice a frequently tripping breaker after using a window AC or space heater, unplug the appliance and monitor for recurrence. Always avoid handling wiring or opening panels—call a professional if you see scorch marks or persistent issues.

Helpful?

For electrical projects in Brazil, it’s best to use 12 AWG wire for most household circuits and weather-resistant wiring for outdoor installations due to local climate variations. Choose tamper-resistant outlets for added safety, and opt for weatherproof outlets and covers outdoors. AFCI breakers are recommended for bedrooms, while whole-home surge protectors help protect against power fluctuations common in rural areas. Local supply stores typically stock materials suitable for Brazil’s building standards.

Helpful?

In Brazil, if you notice lights flickering when major appliances run, outlets that feel warm, or a persistent burning odor, these are early warning signs. Corrosion on outdoor outlets, visible rodent damage to wiring, or moisture around electrical panels—especially in basements—can quickly worsen. Homes with older wiring types, like aluminum or knob-and-tube, are more prone to escalating problems and should be inspected by a professional promptly.
