"Bruce called instantly and arraned to come the next morning to review the project. He arrived promptly at 9 am reviewed the work and gave a very reasonable quote...at least it was what I had in mind. He was very polite, personable and professional and he did a great job. I highly recommend Bruce for any masonry work you may have. In this case he cleaned off old mortar from about 20 bricks that had been knocked loose from a brick wall and reset them. They look grest."

Yes, you can limewash surfaces other than brick. Plaster, stone, stucco, and concrete can all also be limewashed. Any porous surface that will absorb the wash is a good candidate for limewash, although it won’t help much with waterproofing. If you choose to limewash over paint, you’ll need to prep before applying it to avoid a powdery, chalky finish. Shiny surfaces like metal or glass can’t absorb limewash, so it’s not suited for these.

Pressure washers may be satisfying to use, but they can eventually wear away the surface of your bricks. If you don’t have advanced-level DIY skills in masonry, you can hire a reputable masonry contractor in your area for your project.
