"Very well !!! Greg was very responsive. The job took longer than we had planned but that was due to a flaw in the initial roll of fabric - I was happy that Greg was honest with us about it and did the job right. The furniture looks like new and it was about half the cost of buying the same quality of furniture."

[I have a Ph.D. in physics so I pretty much know what I'm doing.]

"My Telefunken did not work at all. Dr. Zee restored it to it's glory days, and it's been wonderful listening to it ever since. This was a challenging repair. It has a radio, shortwave and turntable, and nothing worked. The turntable now works like new and so does my radio. I would highly recommend Dr. Zee's. He kept me in the loop as the repairs were ongoing and worked with our schedule to drop off and pick up the Telefunken. He was also so knowledgeable and easy to work with. Great job!"

No. Once you apply refinishing oil, it will continue to seep into the wood, making it difficult or impossible to refinish over top of it. Since the product contains an oil that’s meant to penetrate existing finishes, almost anything you put on top of it will bring the previous layer of stain with it. If you plan to refinish your cabinets more than once, it’s a good idea to go with the traditional method of sanding before applying a new finish to the surface.

Regularly check and tighten screws, avoid excessive weight, and clean surfaces with appropriate materials to prevent damage.

For small, simple pieces that aren’t antiques, a professional furniture refinisher can usually refinish a piece in two to three hours, while larger pieces—like bed frames and full dining sets—could take several days. Your refinishing professional should be able to give you an estimated timeline for the work before getting started so that you can plan to be without your furniture during the process. Antique furniture might require additional time and take a week or more to refinish, as they require special care to avoid damage.

The best way to help a family member or friend declutter their home is to hire a professional organizer or cleaner to do it for them. However, you can also help them make a plan to tackle the clutter. Sit down with them and sort through the items, making piles of what to keep, toss, and donate. Focus on one area at a time to avoid overwhelming them.
