Their repair based business spanned across northern Illinois, helping customers from the Iowa border to downtown Chicago. After 10 years and numerous customer requests, a retail location was opened in 2004. The Spa Shop carries a wide variety of hot tub components including jets, pillows, filters, covers, and chemicals. Just ensure that you use RV antifreeze specifically, as automotive antifreeze is highly toxic and should be avoided.

It’s possible to move a hot tub on its side or base as long as it fits snugly in the moving truck, with plenty of padding around it. This moving method requires specialized equipment and careful planning, like moving straps, dollies, and moving blankets.

A compact unit designed for two to three people typically weighs approximately 500 pounds in its empty state.
