"Unfortunately, about two dozen dead or dying trees on our property had to be removed. Most of them were ash trees infected with the emerald ash borer. Some of them were very large and very close to the house, making their removal especially challenging. We got a bunch of estimates and eventually decided to go with Al (Rivas Tree Service) because he seemed amazingly knowledgeable and attentive, and also gave us a very competitive quote. We couldn’t be more satisfied with the results! Al and his crew were absolutely great. I could observe what they were doing from my study window and I confess that I was so fascinated with their speedy, competent, [and scary] work that I didn’t manage to get much done that day. It was a wonderfully orchestrated unfolding of activities that resulted in the removal of almost all the trees in a long day of work. The crew came back the next morning to cut one remaining large ash tree and to do the final clean up. Thanks to their know-how and some amazing equipment they brought for the job, there was not the slightest damage to the property and the yard clean-up was meticulous.
