To seal off, or encapsulate, asbestos-containing materials in your home, you’ll need to utilize a sealant specifically designed for asbestos encapsulation. They may recommend imaging to get a view of the insides of your organs and determine if scarring or growths are present.

Asbestos siding on its own doesn’t present a health risk. Asbestos fibers only become airborne when you disturb the material. As long as the siding is in good condition, it shouldn’t release dangerous fibers into the air.
