Fence and Deck Depot is a locally-owned and operated company specializing in all your fence and deck needs. Since our founding nearly 20 years ago, we have exceeded expectations of thousands of customers. Our service area includes the entire St. Louis Metropolitan area in both Missouri and Illinois. On the fence side of our business, we offer a wide variety of choices including ornamental aluminum/steel, vinyl, multiple wood options including cedar, various chain link styles and other fence-related items. For decking, we sell and install composite, vinyl, and wood decking and handrail-systems plus aluminum deck and porch rail products. Lastly, we not only provide complete installation but also offer materials-only for the do-it-yourselfer.

Trost Plastics is a family run business that has specialized in selling vinyl fence and rail since 1988. Aluminum fence and rail has been added in the last few years. Our installers are local people who only work for us and work year round - not subcontracted. Azek cellular PVC decking is also a very important part of our business that we have been selling since it was first produced in 2004 and has proven itself as a quality product.

A couple days later, they dropped the new increase to $488. We canceled. As a retired salesman, I have made my share of errors, but NEVER would I expect the customer to be punished for them. I suspect now that they really didn’t want a little $5000 job in the first place. To their credit, they promptly and courteously refunded our deposit. That being said, a measure of trust was violated. When a company tries to increase their signed agreement, alarm bells should sound from the consumer. I think this is a fairly good company that has somehow lost its way. I’ve told this story to several business associates, and the unanimous consensus is that this represents a poor business practice, raising suspicions. Others could not believe that Trost would do this, especially since no offer was made to honor the agreement. And that people who know this company quickly defend their honesty. But considering our experience, we cannot recommend them."
