I went up with him, and he pointed to where the leak was (some flashing on some pipes) he took out some caulk and fixed it for me on the spot. He surveyed my hail damage and said "I'll be honest, I am in the business of selling roofs, but you don't need a replacement." I was floored. I asked him how long until he thought I would need a new roof. He said anywhere from 2 to 5 years. He then told me I would come out and check next spring, and if it needed it then he would submit his bid then, (unless I wanted to give him my money to do it now *he laughed*). I asked him how much he would need for the repair and he said nothing. Now, I don't want you dear reader to assume he does this regularly (free repairs) because normally he charges, but he said it was so minor that it was on the house. This guy really wants his customers to be happy and stay his customers, which is the BEST thing for a person you pay to want. Needless to say, I will go with him when my roof does need replacement. "I purchased a zero point turn mower from Awesome Machines about 5 years ago and I have had it and other items serviced there before. I recently called to request general maintenance and evaluate a slow leak in one of the tires. I was told I could bring it in and they would get to it in 4 weeks. I asked if I could just get my name on the list and have them call me when it’s ready to be looked at, as the mower is still operational. I was told that they do not do that. I inquired why they couldn’t I was repeatedly told only that “That’s just the way we do it”. I have had this conversation with them many times and they have made an exception before, but it’s always a struggle. I’m never given any logical reason why this helps either them or me. From my perspective my mower will be sitting in the rain and taking up space in their parking lot and I will have to hire a service to mow my lawn for a month. I don’t understand why they cannot accommodate a simple courtesy call when they are ready to look at it, and the bluntness of the denial was very disappointing. They are conveniently located for me and the service work I have had done there in the past has been fine, but their unwillingness accommodate what seems like a simple request that costs me a lot is forcing me to look for other options."

"We were referred through Menards. Ronald Lyman blamed my husband and told him he burned up the engine. This was a new power wash that was used once and then broke. It was under manufacturer warranty but needed the gas out and something from him saying it was broken for Menards to return. He has hidden diagnostic fees of $40, no contract verbal or written for these fees. He did not tell us about the fees until we were ready to pick it up. I was under the impression that he was contracted through the company and that is how he is paid. He also told my husband that he didn't look how he sounded over the phone. My husband is from Mexico but has lived in the states for over 35+ years as a naturalized citizen. I am so sick and tired of the racism and people being taken advantage of! I have also complained to the BBB. We are taking the pressure washer back to Menards but because he was not willing to give us something that said it was defective we have to trade it for the same model. So we have paid $40 above the price. Ronald Lyman told my husband when he picked it up that he didn't listen just like his wife. He is very disrespectful.
