From beginning to end, the experience was smooth and pleasant.  I emailed them on December 7, which was a Sunday.  I immediately received a reply from Bill, the owner, asking me for a number they could call me at on Monday.  Making an appointment was extremely pleasant.  I was able to set an appointment on December 11 and I was assigned Mr. Tom Mayfield as the designer.  I met up with Tom in my downtown condo.  He demonstrated his expertise and was extremely helpful in helping me make decisions. I happened to mention that I wish I hadn't procrastinated because it would have been nice to have the project completed before family visits on the 26th.  He indicated he could make it happen.  We decided to meet the following night in their showroom which is close to my primary home.  It was a rainy Friday night and understandably, Tom was held up in traffic. In the meantime, I was entertained by the owner, who started to educate me on the options and gave me the company background. (I apologize I don't remember the name but it may have been Bill.)  Tom showed me his design and was very patient in accommodating my alterations.  The only thing I have to mention is that the design was done on paper, so I felt guilty every time I have to have him erase and re-do parts of the drawing.  I expected it to be done on a computer.  :)  Due to my tight timetable, I did not have all the options (e.g. wood colors) available since they do not have everything in stock, but since this will be inside the master bedroom where not many people will see, it wasn't a big issue for me.  To rush the project, Tom even drove to my home on the following Sunday to present the final design and finalize the contract.  Installation 2 days later went very smoothly.  I believe the name of the installer is Steve.  I appreciate that they took care of un-installing the old wire shelving and patching all the nail holes.  Tom even stopped by to inspect the progress to make sure I was satisfied with the project.  The finished product is gorgeous and elegant-looking with the dark color that I chose.  I can't say enough good things about this company.  Pricey, yes, but you'll be happy with the outcome!  Thank you for meeting my tight schedule!

"Super honest and professional company. It s been awhile since I ve had such a positive experience with a company. I thought the floors in my newly purchased home needed refinishing but when Orest came to give me an estimate he said they only needed buffing and a coat of sealant. He could have easily sold a total redo but was so honest my family and I were impressed. He arrived promptly to do the work and when I stupidly walked on the floor too soon he came and repaired the damage at no charge. 10 stars for customer service!!!"

"Michael Garman is a true craftsman. His preparation is superior, ending in a flawless result. He is patient, professional and a thoroughly nice person. I have employed Michael in the part, both for woodwork repair (excellent results), and painting (flawless). I called him again, this time to remove wallpaper and paint my bathroom, kitchen and exterior door. He is so easy to work with, a real pleasure. "Daniel was amazing and very attentive. He reached out to me right away, drove out to review the work that would need to be done and then sent me the estimate later the same day. I hired him for the job right after that. I had to ask to postpone the start of the project by about a week and he was understanding. When I reached back out he said he needed to work around what other jobs he had going on at the same time. He took three (3) days to complete the project of working on my garage and house. This involved power washing, replacing woodwork that needed it, and painting both structures as well as the shutters. I am happy with the outcome of this project. I would highly recommend Daniel / Garfield Construction, Inc. In fact, I would hire him again if / when there is work that needs to get done that is in his area."

"Working with Chicagoland Home Products for my closets has been an excellent experience. We initially did four shelving projects with them a few years ago. They did such an excellent job and the closets and pantry have held up beautifully, so it was a no-brainer to have them complete my primary bedroom walk-in closet this month. Tammy is a pro and probably the nicest person you’ll ever meet! She remembered exactly who I was, even after a few years, and pulled up the previous design for my primary closet. We tweaked a few things to ensure I was happy and booked the install. The installers showed up on time, wore shoe covers without me asking, were very friendly, and completed my closet perfectly. I love it! I plan on working with Chicagoland Home Products in the future and recommend them to everyone."
